so what super power could the universe give you that you would totally waste?

for me it would be precognition/time travel. pretty sure i would only use it to watch next years x-men movie or heroically clear my browser history just in the nick of time!

Uh... all of them?

If I were granted superpowers I very much doubt I'd ever use them for anything other than amusing myself, impressing women and earning an easy living.

That is a hard one...let me think for a bit.

I guess one that I could kind of think of would be invisibility. I weigh a feather, have a very light step and not very many people take notice of me if I don't want them to. I can usually get around or avoid anyone I want to and it isn't like I need to sneak into the white house. So it seems rather pointless for me, even if I could go invisible I would still have to be careful with making noise or not bumping into anyone. So for my day to day life I don't really need that super power, although if I had it I would most likely find some use for it.

Hell most of the time I already feel invisible...it would be even more depressing if I actually was. If anything I would want people to take more notice of me, not less.

The power to transform one form of matter into another.
Basically alchemy like Full Metal Alchemist. I'll just spend all my time making cakes or origami or something. Now that I think about it that could be pretty profitable and wouldn't be a waste at all... whoops!

The "normal superpower" you know like DBZ chars, being strong, fast, flying etc...
I'd most likely turn into a Hercule or something.

Well...the ones I have, obviously, unless they stack. Can I get double plus lucky?

Mind control due to ethical reasons. I also would likely misuse shape shifting unless I could do awesome things like turn into metal with it. If I could only look like a person I would likely underuse it. Humorously enough shape shifting is my favorite power in role playing games though. I always get a hat of disguise if I can.

even if I had super powers you can not expect me to use it for saving the world.
I would waste it all on myself.

Honestly, I think superpowers would be wasted on most people. If you woke up tomorrow, say, with the ability to shapeshift into an alternate, more powerful form, Likeliness is you'd be freaked out. That rules out any instant heroics, more or less...and most people would spend the rest of their life trying to be as "normal" as possible. Certainly, even among people who embrace said form, very few would actually aim to attract attention.

I would, however, probably completely waste telekinesis. I'd probably also do even less physical activity than I currently do.

Telepathy,
I'd just use it instead of a mobile phone or Skype to play games.
At most I'd freak people out or use it to get into psychology.

Immortality/Indestructibility/Regeneration

I'd pretty much never use it, except on Halloween to set myself on fire a la Jack Skellington just to see everyone's faces.

I honestly think that any superpower would be wasted on me. Although it depends on what you consider to be a waste. I would pretty much use a superpower to make the mundane parts of my life easier. Something like time travel, for instance, I would just use to avoid waiting for food to cook, or to skip adverts on TV. I'm not sure I consider that sort of thing a waste, but it's not exactly an exciting use of a superpower. I doubt I'd go out and start fighting crime or anything.

The ability to fly would be wasted on me, I really don't like heights so to be that far up without a plane would probably freak me the hell out.

I'd use the shit out of those.

Jumping out of planes with no chute, cutting off my hand as a party trick, wrestling bears, because fuck you that's why.

As for powers I wouldn't use...... probably mind control. I mean it's cool and all, but it's realllllly morally sletchy to use something like that in day to day life as far as I'm concerned. Maybe I could control some politicians and make some much needed changes...... but I'd probably just fuck things up even more.
What about rehabilitating violent criminals?

Personally, I'm off to the superpowers wiki, but I doubt there's anything I couldn't use in any way.
If people wanna quote me with powers I'll tell everyone how I would go about using them.

Scratch that, spherical form would be redundant.

Omniscience, I would never be able to watch or read anything without spoilers again. I would know everything that has happened and everything in the future so there would be no surprises.

Super speed, sure I get every where very quickly but I imagine I'd spend a fortune replacing wore out shoes so I probably just end up taking the bus instead.

Super strength/speed.

I'm pretty lazy anyway, and although either would be a nice party trick, I wouldn't go out of my way to use them... especially considering my job doesn't involve heavy lifting, or even going outside much.

Well super speed would be relatively useful, now I think about it, but only if I was late for work.

Super-strength. It'd help with all the jobs I'd need to do, but it wouldn't stop me being too lazy to actually do them XD

EDIT: What the!? @beniki, what are you doing in my head! GET OUT OF THERE!
