Well, I just stumbled over this article of a single mom trying to become the biggest woman ever and I just had to think how irresponsible someone can be.
Who she thinks has to look after her when she reaches a point where she can't move anymore?

In my opinion she has to get psychiatric treatment as soon as possible and her children should live with her aunt until she recognises that it's wrong what she is doing and wants to change it.

Sorry I had to. Anyway people have been making poor choices since we've been walking this earth. Intentional overeating is far from the worse one. In fact I think it might be a strong contender for most revolutionary method of prolonged suicide. Still family intervention is needed if she is to live into the next decade but intervention from us strangers won't do any good.

If she didn't have kids, I'd say fine, go ahead with that, but you have a 16 and a 12 year son, and while you may think it would be sweet to get the world record, you will most definitely die before one, if not both of them, have even graduated high school. She's a terrible mother. In fact, I would almost want her kids taken away. She's leading a terrible example for them. Not surprised that I don't see a father in the picture, no offence, but I would leave her ass way before she got to be half that size. Maybe she thinks doing this will "stick it to him". Hopefully when she has a heart attack, the father will be able to take of these kids better than she could.

Though I do find it fairly despicable if she's living off government welfare due to her conscious choice of becoming inhumanly obese, and her disregard for her children, whom she might have arranged for to live with the sister when this stunt inevitably takes it toll, but who'll hardly be too happy when mommy cans it, and have to be carried off by a forklift.

It's absurd how she thinks literally forcing herself to be super fat is alright and reaching out like some kind of Guru to overweight people, who may not be fat for the same reasons (Accidents, diseases, steroid medications, etc.) is the right thing to do. After everything we know about being severely overweight, people are still fooling themselves into thinking being super fat to the point of not being able to move and function in society is alright and just the way they are, when it isn't.

The thing that bothers me the most is, she is also blatantly putting herself before her children who probably have to do more to take care of her then other children should probably do for any parent when they are young. She's going to die early - and they'll be without a proper parent (not that she is one now). Though hopefully they'll end up with someone who is far more mentally stable. She's also ready, it seems, to hand them over to her sister. May as well do it now, to be quite honest. But she wont because then she'll have no one to help fill up the carts to kill herself.

This is pure greed and gluttony - "I want to be the biggest." and it's making me absolutely sick.

You know, wanting to break a record by doing whatever to your body is something I can understand. I am one to stand idly by as someone hurts themselves. I am an asshole and I deal with it. However, at some point someone will need to bring her food or she won't eat thus won't gain weight to break the record. How can someone do that? A person is too fat to move but will be brought food. Personally, I would psychologically treat the people bringing her food before her.

How foolish, not to mention egocentric. To believe she thinks she's working on a mission to help people. What a crock of shit. You can't be healthy that way. Not to mention, I feel really sorry for the cashier who has to check her out. 6 carts once a month? Fuck her. I want to shoot the people who come through my line with 2.

And she thinks the meager "exercise" she's getting will keep her healthy. I bet she just goes til she gets a little tired. How long is it going to take before people realize that you're actually supposed to keep going til it feels like your veins are pumping battery acid? I'm not saying that there aren't people whose genetic makeup makes it genuinely difficult for them to lose weight. But for a lot of people, it's just that they quit exercising as soon as they get a little tired, when they ought to keep going til it burns, and even a little bit after that.
