Surge 2 [Begun!]

Hokay, back by popular demand is Surge, and you guys all know what that means (or at least, you should do!)

Due to an influx of less savoury players in the prequel, this episode will have an audition-style entry process: eg you post your sheet, I consider it with my cynical head on, then pass it to a bunch of bitter, jaded bastards several players form Surge 1, who will advise me.
Note: You will be judged on spelling, punctuation and grammar, as well as previous history on RPs. Eg if you're lovely but illiterate, you don't have much chance, and you're a poet, but you're also a douchebag, you won't get in either.

Some people (you know who you are) get free entry, as they have proved their loyalty to the Party roleplaying skills, and since they are those who made the first episode so awesome, I feel I can trust them.

In order to fuel the creativity of the players, I will not be providing a structured character sheet. Instead, you may write something that you feel describes your character. I'd like an appearance, a sane power, and some kind of idea about who the hell you are. other than that, it'sup to you, but make sure it fits the universe.

Spoiler: A little history

Full history can be found here [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/362.143318#3210727], but to put it simply, there was, six months ago, a massive outbreak of super powers, several hundred deaths, and a city was damn near demolished. There was and attempted cover-up, but lots of people now believe that there are such things as super powers.
Your character may get their power from the previous outbreak, have had it from childhood, or have discovered it randomly between then and now.
The game will be in a different city, so don't worry about explaining away your absence in theprevious game

So yeah, that's it. I will me making a limit at ten players, so get writing.

Also, those with secure places still need to post, both so other players are aware of you, and to give people a hint as to the kind of style I'm looking for.

Main villain from the first here! Seeing as we haven't been given a template by captain asshat the lovely threewords, I shall use the one from the first.

Name: Kenji Daichi

Appearance: Kenji looks similar to the stereotypical Japanese punk rocker, which is reflected in his clothing and his own trends. He is no taller then 5'7 and has a slim build. His hair is black and jelled up, so much jell that it appears to be rock solid. Covering a large deal of his arms and the top half of his chest, he has a wide variety of tattoos, ranging from simple tribal designs to a dragon that covers his back. What he wears is the definition of trashy, a bright red jacket worn over a dirty gray shirt. His blue jeans have scratches around the knees and have been faded, but then again that is pretty common now a days. To top it all of he wears a pair of tinted aviators, a bright orange tint to be exact.

Powers: Kenji has the ability to summon a veil of blue energy and manipulate to his will. Whether it be to make a sword, a shield or a blast of energy, it can be done, only limited by his own imagination. Being hit by the energy is an experience that one will never forget, as it seems to burn and freeze at the same time. The energy of veil it just as plentiful as the energy exhibited in it's hyperactive user, never seeming to run out of power at any given moment.

The energy has given him a few miscellaneous abilities as well, having no connection to blue power but still proving to be useful, and sometimes hilarious. He can in fact teleport over short distances, but rarely when he wants to. If he is drinking or fooling around he can teleport at random, resulting in some very awkward cases involving the cops. Other that he exhibits strength, agility, endurance, and speed higher then what is to be expected from someone his size, though by no means super.

Bio: The story of Kenji is rather bland, if not humorous one, until he got his powers at seventeen. He was raised in Tokyo by his mom and dad, being born into a middle class family living the big city life. Needless to say he was kind of an ass for the most of his life, the kind of guy who would shout at the clerk at the fast food joint for getting his order wrong. His habits only got worse when he entered high school, when he grew to think that he was better then everyone else. He would drink and party, living what he called the "Good life" up until he was seventeen...

While at friends house he said something incredibly stupid, this being an insult about a gang leader who happened to be at the party. After the party he was returning home when the gang leader and his goons backed him into an alley, intent on killing the stupid Kenji. In an act of desperation he picked up a wooden stick and threw himself into the group, when the energy began to spark from his body. He felt a surge of power, and soon the the attacker were no more. After the event the local police were called to the scene, only to find Kenji sitting down against a pile of charred skeletons. He told the cops to "Fuck off", they didn't hesitate.

Ever since then Kenji has decided to explore the world, party and get into sweet fights, continuing to live the "Good Life". His attitude of being a complete asshat hasn't changed much, but he has grown to be a smooth talker when there are ladies around.

Name:Marcus Erikesom.

Age: 16

Appearance: about 4'10 and skinny with pale skin and short black hair that clings to his scalp, wears a grubby white hoodie with a black anarchy symbol on the back,stained what seems to be a mix of blood,dirt and vomit,white track pants that are ripped from multiple leg shifts,black combat boot that have bits of animal and human bodies, one dark blue eyes and one pure white eye,lips so thin that they look like they were drawn on with a red pen, torn white gloves with crosses on palms and no finger tips.

Power:Can change mineral state of matter, for instance turning his arm to diamond, and basic shapeshifting, like turning his arm into a spike, meaning he can turn any part of his body into a weapon.

Biography:Born and raised in the city, he always like the idea of transforming, so he could escape his horrible mothers beatings, that have made him slightly more insane, when the last outbreak came, he got his wish, turning his arm to steel and beating her to death, he ran for his life, ending up living on the run for murder, he now wanders the world, doing and taking anything he please.

Weakness:Equivalent exchange is the problem here, when shifting his kineral state, he must find more flesh and bones to absorb.

... Why would you attempt to get in if you doubt your chances of actually doing so? And, I perhaps wonder more so about this, how did you actually manage to think up this character as I did?

You know, do not answer those questions. I simply apologise beforehand for wrecking your chance of getting in, if only because our characters are so similar.

Name: Darius 'Shift' DeLorette

...Why go on?

Appearance: Darius' power keeps him from having any fixed form, allowing him to change to whatever he prefers at the time. In times of extreme feeling or pressure his form will change regardless of his own will.

His usual form, standing at 6 foot 2, is that of a handsome 23 year old (though he could chronologically be anywhere from 10 to 110), his eyes and hair obscured by his hood. His clothes are usually rather bland blends of black and white though he does like to change his identity often to keep himself from being identified at a glance. Normally he has a white hooded top, with a strange tribal symbol [http://www.tribalshapes.com/img/tattoos/negatively-even.gif] on it's front, a set of black pants with a tied knot in the belt and some simplistic white trainers, grey decorations adorning the soles and heel.

But expect this to change. He's a sadistic little shit who will disguise every insecurity and exploit every fear, all just to pick at you and mess with your mind.

Hope is dead.

Powers: Darius' power is complex, but can be basically summed up as shapeshifting. His power allows the reconstruction and reorganisation of his form, meaning he can alter who he is at command, create weaponry and utensils from nothing but his own body, reform dead or dying cells almost instantaneously and, perhaps most disturbingly of all, absorb organic lifeforms and compounds into himself to reform missing limbs or to simply increase his mass.

All of these make up his power, creating what is an almost unkillable maniac who is characterised by being as sneaky and underhanded as he is dangerous.

You are all beyond redemption.

Bio: How does one become a murderer? What thoughts occur to make one stop seeing life as something of amazing value and instead as a mundane object to be abused and discarded?

How? You suddenly realise that the entire system has been flipped. Everything, due to a screw up of cosmic proportions, has finally gone in your favour, and those who used to treat you as nothing are now ripe for their comeuppance. You're stuck in a go-nowhere job with a group of do-nothing coworkers and a get-nothing paycheck, and then one too many things go right in a row.

You are given power. And it corrupts. Corrupts the mind and the body. That is your 'how'.

Darius' power first began to manifest during the crisis 6 months ago, he was one of the many supers who went mad with power that day. The difference between they and he? He survived. He killed them, outlasted them, destroyed those who were all around him, and came out of the other side, powers intact. And he found the experience amazing, to say the least.

The aftermath, the pure ecstasy as he felt each dying super merge into his consciousness, hearing their every agony-filled and tormented scream, even after their deaths. It all exhilarated him and fueled his sick passion, he traveled to hear the screams again and again. He wanted to watch people descend to nothingness and fall away from their 'self', instead becoming a part of what he thought was something much greater. Him. That is his corrupted ends, his twisted means, the reason for his entire perverted existence. To wipe away the scourge that is 'them' and leave only 'him.'

All that will remain is him.

I will be updating and upgrading this as I see fit, hopefully to be less like Lycan's character at first glance, so look out for changes.

Description:stands at around 5ft 6in. medium build, violet colored eyes, blonde buzz-cut hair
Usually seen wearing black cargo pants and a grey short sleeved t-shit.

Powersionic abiliteies, cryo and telekinesis as well as psychometry (learning about an objects past and the people who have used it by touching said object) as well as the ability to absorb data (meaning he can pick up a weapon or device and know how to use it or suck data straight from a computer)

Personality:quiet, sometimes disturbingly so. though if he does get talking it's hard to get him to stop, he's a very sharp-minded individual who seems to put in a very hard effort to think before he acts, though he doesn't always succeed.

Weapons kept on person (for those times when he can't get close enough or has to get close to whomever has pissed him off):Small glock 9 kept in hip holster and a hunting knife on the opposite hip
