Ghosthunter, for 5$

Fantastic game, it looks like crap at first glance, but the humor and horror are both done extraordinarily well.

Dead Space. I picked it up for about $15 used. This game was so awesome on so many levels. I honestly wasn't expecting much from it at the time though.

Picked up Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate 2 and both of their expansions, all for $20. Except I wasn't that surprised because I knew they were going to be awesome.

Peter Jackson's King Kong.

I really can't express clearly enough how much of a surprise it was when it turned out to be good.

The Darkness for 10 bucks, and Dark Sector for 5 bucks

Both worth well more then the price, although the Dark Sector box was HORRIBLE (I ended up throwing it away) and it didn't have a book.

Psychonauts, actually. Cost me £1 on a steam sale a long while ago. Awesome diologue, really funny, combat is okay, and the -only- thing I didn't like about the game was the last level... Never made me think of meat circuses the same way again :(.
Yes that level was a... slaughterhouse *takes off sunglasses*

Well recently Fallout 3 I knew about all the hype but when I played it over a friends I didn't think too much of it. Bought the GOTY edition with some stackable coupons for 23 bucks and I looove it

Battlefield: Bad Company 2; Got it for $20 on some awesome 1 day deal code from a Kotaku post

Civilization IV complete; $10 on a steam deal

Portal; free due to steam spreading to Macs (the one good thing caused by a mac computer)

$7 US for Gundam Crossfire. Though it is not something everyone would enjoy, I had more than enough fun with it.

KOTOR. A friend suggested it when we in a game shop during lunch break at college. I think I was there to buy WC3 Frozen Throne.

Only game I picked up cheap that I wasn't sure of was Disaster Report. Picked it up for $10 and, while not the best game ever, pulls off a unique premise in an enjoyable manner. The same goes for it's sequel as well.

Godhand, I was rummaging for a fighting game, while my 360 was getting fixed when I found it for my ps2.
