OK, i did a survey a while back, and said i would be transparent with my respondents.
all true, but i had some shit to deal with, so, sorry for the delay.
What i was testing for: the effects of online dis-inhibition (includes Trolling) on people based on life-class or status.
for this purpose i made a rather non-standard survey that didn't look for answers to questions, but how answers compared against each-other. individual answers DID NOT MATTER.
I found a few things by statistical accident:
---we on the escapist generally are HighSchoolers or going to college.
---We generally find internet outbursts annoying
---if we live at home with our parents, we are more likely to find frustration on the net than those who live under any other circumstance.
the Meat:
i did hide litmus questions in the survey, some of which had double implications.
out of the 4 questions, only 1 received any answers, showing you guys knew a trap when you saw it.
then i started comparing answers.
those who had more intense aggravation experience on the net either showed a higher sense of desensitization or had a negative view of the internet users...intensity of answer X often showed more intensity from answer Y
i did not have enough points of reference to triangulate varying levels, but i was able to land a few solid gists: that if online experience is reported as annoying, and most who do so have unestablished lives, i find it funny that the better your life opportunities become, the less likely you report annoyances...
makes sense, eh?
really simple survey looking for simple results the complex way.
i'll take questions....
EDIT: it seems posts doesn't show up when you first post....
