Lately i have been having a very hard time making it thought the school day.
its not that i am bulled/harrased, that all ended when peopel grew up a few years ago,
the problem is that absoltly nothing of any relevence at all is taught. the only class that i feel we ever get anywhere in is precalculs. in every other class we just go over what they taught us in middle school(im a junion in high school right now)
this may not sound bad, but i have a hatrade for doing things that accomplish nothing at all. the major problem is finding the motivation to do redundant shit like homework. i know that it matters and will affect the rest of my life, but it just dosnt affect me, probly because i feel like shit most of the time and dont realy care what happens.
the only things i have left in life of any enjoyment are friends, games and places like this, and in the attempt to keep myself sain, none of the work gets done.
does anybody have any suggestions for how to get motivated to do the work, because im at the end of my rope, and its not going to be too long befor my entire GPA/Life falls apart.

if you dont have anything consturctive to say, dont say it, its realy not worth you time.
i would realy apricate your help

There's nothing we can do to help, its all mental. You just have to find a way to get past that mental block you have put up.

I felt the same way in high school, basically because high school is pointless. So my advice is just get through it . . . college is better, way better. The other thing I did was find a way to get out of school. I did an internship for a semester. I got class credit, but wasn't sitting in pointless classes everyday. I also got real life experience. It was great, seriously look into it. If nothing else it gets you out of the monotony of high school.

You should try Running Start. If you started now, you could cut college short by a year, have the government pay for it, and you would be spending half your school day taking college classes. Thats what alot of my friends did, and its more fun at community college than high school.

Get together with friends. It seems that you need no help on schoolwork, so just try and have some fun outside of school. As for motivation, do you have any goals for life?

Believe me, right now, this instant, I go to school every day wanting it to end. Not a fun time, but it's mostly not academic. But sometimes I question the relevance. I get by with A's but I feel like I'm not trying. I just keep in mind my goals for the future, and hope.

Get through High School, and go to College. But is this your first year of High School?!

You've got to be fucking kidding me...

You are "at the end of your rope"?
In the first year of highschool?

You either are a whiny little girl or need professional help.
Hes a junior, a 3rd year.

Oh, that does make a difference.
Do you guys graduate and have big exams this year?
He has one more year left after the one he is currently in, and most schools have exams at the end of each semester.

here is something sad if your in the States.

Right now Schools are not teaching things so much to expand your knowledge and make it fun, or challenging...they teach to the lowest common denominator rather than a curve to get kids able to pass state exams ( there fore qualifying for larger grants and budgeting from the districs and state..all from the No child acts)

now that's not my ranting at the system.. some states are worse with it than others ( right now in my childrens school they only teach 2 subjects all year per grade...and they repeat the material over and over and over.. no shock that each year the state exams cover only those subjects.. and atleast here teachers are gone every Wed and Fri to take classes on prepping kids for said tests...

but throwing that off to the side..

I think your more like I was in school, where you want a challenge, you WANT to learn, and rehashing things you already absorbed basically kills everything off and makes it useless, thus making you sorta " why bother" in some forms..

on the up side your a Junior, and granted you are up to date on credits you wont need many classes as a senior, and can spend most of the day out doing whatever it is you need to do " work, game etc"

but if it REALLY bothers you there are options to take more corespondents which can set you off to a uni to work on various papers and gain HS credit, AND some uni credit..

you can test out early, I would double check and find out what programs are around your state/city that would allow you to test out while receiving a diploma rather than a GED...( which both on their own are identical for getting into Uni)

if you need to you can take a few tests to qualify for various scholarships, or pail grants for uni.

I did something similar in the UK, tested out of school when I was in my mid teens and started Uni when I was 16,

Im almost out of highschool and i am so glad about it. But that is only because next year there will be massive budget cuts if this levie does not pass. But the thing about high school is, I am actually kind of depressed that I am graduating. I mean, not to bring you down, but graduation means that the part of your life where you can coast by and hang out with your friends all the time is over. It really sucks.

I am getting through High school by replaying my movies word for word in my mind. This might sound east but it actually really quite difficult. It has to be one of your favorites otherwise you will start to drift off into the blankness of space and teachers will notice you. I use the Evil Dead Trilogy, but use what you love. Try it out.
