Take The Escapist Ghosts Quiz!

They rattle chains, they go bump in the night, and they scare the pants off of Shaggy and Scooby. The transparent undead are a favorite come Halloween, of course, but we love them so much, we thought we'd give them some attention in February, too. Why not? There's more than enough ghostly goodness to go around.

I've never actually seen a ghost, but I'm fairly certain there was one in the house where I grew up. Things would go missing for days at a time, only to turn up exactly where they were supposed to be in the first place. Human error or sketchy memory is a more likely explanation, true, but it's far more fun to think that we were being haunted.

As always, you can take as long as you like to answer these ten questions about our ectoplasmic pals, but your cumulative time will affect your position on the leaderboards. Take the quiz, then tell us whether or not you believe in ghosts. (And why, of course.)

(On your marks...get set...BOO! [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/quizzes/view/58])

70%. I'm happy with that.

I don't believe. When we die, we go to unicorn land. And each get our very own unicorn!

70%. Not bad for guessing at 60%.

Belief wise, no I don't. When we die, that's it. No haunting, no sticking around, no afterlife good or bad and no re-incarnation. Why? I don't believe in a soul, and without a soul, none of that stuff is possble.

I'm surprised I got 90% considering I guessed 5 times. I got 100% the second time around though. Go me!

Am I just tired, or did question 7 (Which is not a Pac-Man ghost) list all four Pac-Man ghosts?
It does. It lists all four correct names, because of which I got 9 out of 10.

Jesus, calm down. Yes, there was an error, which has been rectified. Thanks to those who pointed it out without freaking out.

7/10 did better than I thought I would.

And I guess I believe in ghost, but I'm an Atheist. Weird, huh?

I'm on the right.

80% first time--the only ones I missed was the Question about the camera and the Ghouls n Ghosts question.

And I'd not played that game in decades...lol

As far as ghosts go, I personally think they're real. I recall two events that happened to members of my family back in 2002, I believe. That year, my uncle and my grandfather both passed away. My uncle, who was my mother's brother, was a journalist and travelled all over the world, though when he died he was working at a local paper up in Cumbria (UK). Anyway, his house was filled with all sorts of stuff from his travels, so we had to go to his house (which he never used anyway since he was always up North) and clear it out before we could sell it. Long story short, my mum was using a hedge trimmer to tidy up the front garden when she noticed something in the corner of her eye. According to her it looked just like my uncle. She turned around and it was gone, but she noticed that she'd almost cut through the hedge trimmer wiring and electrocuted herself. She maintains to this day that it was her brother warning her in time and that he saved her life.

The second encounter is a bit more substantial. Christmas in the same year, my grandfather (who never got over his son's death) also passed away, and we cremated him just before Christmas Day. A short while afterwards, my grandmother went upstairs in her house to the bathroom. When she walked in she swears blind to this day that she saw him sitting in the bath, looking at her. She fled and called my mum straight away to tell her, though it seems that really my grandfather was just visiting, as it were, to make sure everything was alright. Since then she hasn't seen him, though both her and my mother have seen my uncle and grandfather in their dreams, always talking to them and saying that everything's fine.

Anyway, regarding the quiz, at the time of posting I'm in 12th place with 100% in 2:35, on my first try. Who's awesome? I'm awesome!

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH

60% first try, which is good, then I got 100% next try.

And now I am 4th on the leaderboard (for now).

I know it doesn't seem like much, but it makes me happy
It's the little things, man. :)
