Hey internet/escapist people, most topics on this forum are either against or for a game which goes into a big debate which doesn't mean anything. I want this to basically be a topic to voice what you love about games without anyone saying "oh god no, that's a crap game", if you like a game you shouldn't have to defend your opinion.

At the moment my favourite game is skyrim, which I know a lot of people like. I really didnt like morrowind or obilivion that much, but skyrim is just brilliant in my view. But not perfect, no way, luckily mods do combat most of my grief with bugs or aspects of the game I think arn't right to me (such as the leveled quest items or lights which dont go out).
I am also looking forward to Guild Wars 2, havn't brought the pre-buy version as cannot validate an extra £15 for like a few days game time, so am waiting for the actual game to come out but from what ive heard and seen from videos of gameplay; it looks fantastic.

Thats about it for the moment, please dont start commenting on how the games I like arn't good or anything like that, just want this to be a place where people can voice there personal favourite games.
Oh and I didnt kill Paarthunax on skyrim, why the blades want him dead I have no idea, since hes the reason I was able to learn dragonrend etc so without him Alduin would of won anyways.

Rainbow six vegas 2, its one I always go back when I get the gamer angst(you know what I mean?) when you want to play something but you don't got money for anything new and you stare at your collection and think "this wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't played all these games before". I love a good terrorist hunt, and RSV2 is pretty much flawless aside from a couple stupidities that are easy to advoid ie. falling damage, a pretty much 5 foot fall is fatal.

Favorite all time game/series? The Ultima series. They were 10-20 years ahead of their time, utterly revolutionary, deep and wonderful. The Elder Scrolls is actually something of a spiritual successor in some ways, particularly in the world building.

Current game? The deeply polarizing Diablo 3.

A Hermit's Cave
TW...

For all those who know what I tend to post about (at seriously, that is), that shouldn't come as anything of a surprise. Perhaps not necessarily the first game to combine turn-based-strategy and real-time-tactics with a view to historical accuracy, but definitely the most prolific, and while I have plenty of factual quibbles to make against it (particularly R:TW, even though I'm on record as considering that the best strat-game in my possession, to the extent that I have three copies of it... so long as I can count the mods as part of the game), it generally does a good job. Sure, the AI sucks more often than not, whether on the campaign map or on the battlefield map, but here's the main reason I like the franchise: the modding community. Who bring a genuine realism (to the greatest extent that can be brought to the titles as they stand) to it.

To me, unlimited fun... *shrug*

*feels like playing N:TW... yet again* 'cos why not?
