I am debating getting a tattoo and I was wondering what people thought of these symbols as a tattoo.

Whatever you do, do NOT do the Nobody symbol. Anyone who doesn't know what it is will think it's a big pointy pair of balls. And if you do the FMA pocketwatch symbol, I recommend not doing the lines that cross through the dragon. Symbols work best as silhouettes, and having those crazy lines really screws up its silhouette and its overall effect.

Whatever you do dont do heartless because it really does look like a pointy pair of balls.

No2 is so intricate is\f you get the wrong guy to do it, it may become a horrible mess.
Also finer lines tend to fade faster???

No3 is cool, but as mentioned before me, maybe take out some of the lines.

No4 is fool proof.

Hahaha Chances are the only people who would see this would be people who know what it is.

That is indeed my favorite, even though it looks like it would hurt quite a bit

make your own don't copy paste that shit on your body.
Why would I want to make my own? I'm no artist and the pictures I posted are from the things I enjoy, they are an accurate representation of me.

your paying some one to tattoo your body dude. They are good artists, they can make just about anything. try coming up with something that describes you for who you are not just what you like. something that defines all that you are.

The only real advice that anyone can give you is to be sure that you want what you want, especially if this is your first tattoo.

Ignore it when people say 'oh don't get it if it's from something', as long as it's something that you know you're not going to regret 20 years down the line then it shouldn't matter what it is or where it's from.

On the subject of which of the above designs work it depends on where and if your going to add to it. If it's part of a sleeve then going for the more brightly coloured ones would make sense if you're going to have a coloured sleeve. If you're going for a detailed black and shading sleeve instead then a single brightly coloured piece is going to look garish and a bit out of place.

One last thing about the heartless one. Red tends to have trouble sticking, for my first tattoo I had the o-pin from The world ends with you on my left shoulder, after about half a year the red faded slightly in places and it can need touching up if you want to keep the colours vibrant.

Just make sure you want it and that you're not going to regret it then screw what anyone else says. It's your body and you can do what ever the hell you want to it, even if that includes tattooing symbols from video games

(I can't say crap I'm having an entire sleeve of video game stuff done :) )

Good luck with your tattoo dude, if it's your first one then good luck with your first tattoo.

These do describe me, My likes and dislikes are part of who I am, and they make up a huge part of it along with my friends and my career choice.

Why thank you. It would indeed be my first, and I was thinking probably on my shoulder.

EDIT: Oh and I was planning on having them be either straight black or just outlines

I suppose if I were to get the heartless or nobody, they would probably be paired. Like so
or slightly more intricate like these

I say go for the "Nobody", that symbol design looks really cool. I looks more like a type of cross then a dick and balls like some people have said. Nobody will think it looks like that.
The fact that quite a few people, including me, saw that immediately means that some people will think it is quite phallic.

I liked the last heartless one, with the wings and the crown.

The wings look like something from TWEWY :L

Not always the case...there are a LOT more shitty tattoo artists out there than you might think. You should always look at their previous work and make sure they're totally clear on what you want.

Oh I definitely planned on having the skyrim symbol not being broken, It just didn't occur to me to Google the imperial symbol, rather than the skyrim cover art.

I think if you need help choosing a tattoo design then you should not have one done. A tattoo is going to be with you for a while, and though you might love all these things and the designs now you might not later on.
My man and I were thinking of getting matching tattoo's of street fighter characters, but then SF4 disappointed us both and we were very glad we hadn't done it yet. It's always best to get something that means something to you, or is ambiguous as well as being visually striking in some way. If you're determined, I'd stay away from the Kingdom Hearts ones and go more towards the fma motifs. I'd change them a bit to make them personal to you first though. There's nothing cool about just making yourself an advertising board.

Get a tattoo of your Recycle Bin and Properties folder, like in the second last picture. I genuinely think that would be awesome. Alternatively, I think the Code Geass one would be nice.

May I ask why I should stay away from the Kingdom Hearts tattoos? Would it help if I mentioned that I am an adult and know full well what I am getting into? Also that I have liked these things for years, and even if they release a newer crap game I would still enjoy the old ones and that is what the symbols would mean to me.

I love the intricate version of the nobody and heartless!
These ones dont look like pointy pairs of balls at all :D

As for the fading thing, I'm a girl and had eyeliners and eyebrows done through "permanent make up".
Since this is done on your face which has much thinner skin than your body, the pigments are only very shallowly inked in.
So, after a few years and lots of make up, make up remover, fake eyelash glue etc, the ink totally faded.

This was kinda good in a way because i found out later that eyeliner and brow shape trends change quite a bit.

As for your tattoo, I dont think they will ever fade completely like my makeup, but some colors will definitely fade or start looking icky, and require touch up as mizushinzui said.

Especially if you plan not to use color and just do outline, i think it will turn out just fine.

But you see, your skin will age.
And when it ages, it will shrivel up and then maybe the thin lines will look off.
i have noticed that thicker, solid lines retain its design better.

Also, one thing you have to keep in mind when you get a tattoo, is not to gain lots of weight!

i know a guy who had Japanese tiger designs all over his back.
Several years later, he gained sooooo much weight, the tigers looked like they got smushed.
that was soooooo sad.
