Basically they made a shirt that said "#MoreBoyfriendsThanTS" and her fanbase spewed venom on the net and Aber pulled the shirt.

Now I want to ask you all, what the hell is wrong with young people? They'll stand up and protect Taylor Swift like shes a fucking deity. But they won't fight the company on it's sexist, ableist policies.

As they rightly should. #Tswizzle4lyfe

Seriously, though, that makes me laugh and I'm glad you shared it. I really don't have as much as a problem with it as you, OP. It just makes me laugh a little is all.

What a bunch of soft-skinned fucking crybabies. No wonder they listen to some princess whining about her endless string of failed relationships.

Not that I really care but isn't using someone's name/image for profit without permission illegal?

Also, TS could mean T.S. Elliot. Don't know how many boyfriends he had, though.

This is what people are having a go at Abercrombie for? So it's fine for the CEO to complain about 'ugly' people wearing their clothing, but as soon as they poke a bit of fun at a woman who, let's be honest, has things pretty fucking good, people lose their minds?

This reminds me of that "cut for Beiber" trend last year. Fucking stupid. I would be in full support of banning teenagers (especially teenage girls) from everything until they turn 20. Just lock them up in a cellar, have an armored prison bus take them to and from school, and make them wear uniforms at school. No one is allowed to talk unless it is to ask questions during class and they are only given oatmeal for lunch.

Wait, if we're punishing them, why are we giving them oatmeal? It's delicious.

OT: Not much to say about it, except that it's petty and stupid. I've never understood how teenagers can get so attached to such shallow celebrities. Bah, I'm only seventeen, and I already feel like a grumbling old man. I guess the only thing to do now is to sit in a rocking chair outside my front door and tell everyone within my range of sight to get off of my (parents') lawn.

At least my Red State review was memorable enough for you to recall it.

Evidently more memorable than you, since you remembered it and I didn't remember you.

OT: Y'know what? I'm now going to take the opposite approach to everyone else and say that it's good they got it pulled. Protect the person you admire, T-Swift fans.

How do we know they're not protecting the good name of T. S. Eliot?

I thought the shirt meant "More boyfriends then TeamSpeak"... and thought it made since. I mean no one has more boyfriends then her.

How could I not. Your Red State review is as burned in my brain as are the atrocitys commited on 9/11.

All the pain.

All the suffering you caused, Marter.

And the only thing you have to say is "Lulz"?

#SMH

OT: How anyone can hate the shirt but support Swifty is beyond me. The girls whole living is breaking up with boyfriends and bitching about them in music. I can't believe she even gets dates anymore.

Why are these stupid kids even buying from Abercrombie, anyway? Did they not hear about how the entire brand is dedicated to making fat people feel uncool? And that rather than giving their returned or gently used clothes to charity like pretty much all other retailers, they burn the clothes they don't sell anymore because they don't want the poor and homeless wearing their brand?

And the complaint is silly, as well. They know Taylor Swift has had more boyfriends than there are grains of sand in her music videos. May as well accept it and have fun with it.

I wonder if Taylor Swift realizes that she is the common denominator in all her relationships.

Is "MoreboyfriendsthanTS" really that great of a compliment? I mean, don't women kind of not want to be known as the village bicycle? lol

Surreal. I come here from Facebook, where EVERYONE is talking about the amazing concert Taylor Swift just did, and I come here to... more Taylor Swift.

Huh.

Anyways, why would anyone WANT to wear that shirt? Taylor Swift is literally synonymous with "Too Many Boyfriends", why would you admit to having MORE than too many?

Off Topic-ish: Say what you want about her dating habits, but it's honed her into a hell of a verbal assassin. She made John Mayer cry, for Heaven's sakes.

I don't think she cares. She went out with a few people and they didn't get married, so what? I doubt she cries into her pillow every night like most people think she does.

Well, people actually got really angry about the ugly/fat comments and a lot of people are boycotting the company. That's their general ethos though. It's easier to pull one tshirt to satisfy people then change the entire company.

Plain, undoctored oatmeal? Every meal of every day? If they are good we will give them a single cranberry to put into it. And if they are really good, they can say ONE word to their crush.

It's a shame this is what people will stand up for. If this effort were applied elsewhere, for the good of others rather than some very artist who complains of a new relationship failed in practically every song, the world might possibly be a better place.

Such a disappointment.
