I've learned that my job will be requiring a fair bit of travel soon, and I've decided to get a new portable music player-dealie-thingie. I'm looking for product recommendations from some people.
I'm figuring to use this primarily for music, as I'll be doing a lot of airport waiting and wandering. The occasional TV show or movie might make it's way across though.
I'd like something with good sound output, reliable components (I've had a few broken headphone jacks in my day), smooth interface and non-intrusive PC-end software.
I've never been enamored with the iTunes interface, so an iPod or the like wouldn't be my target, but if it's truly the best option than I'll give it a look.
So...yeah. Help a brother out?
