Half of my computer games wont work as it seems some malware my brother managed to get on my computer has switched off my Direct 3D acceleration and i cant turn it back on again, the only option to do so is just not where it should be and/or is greyed out with no explaination in "DxDiag". Im pretty sure one of my 5 malware killers killed the responsible program.
so my question is: Does any clever people know the filepath within Windows 7 64bit "regedit" of where to find the option to turn on direct 3D Acceleration.
Or another way of doing it even perhaps?
i have a Geforce GT 240M graphics card and have tried reinstalling the drivers twice, they are up to date. got direct X 11.Intel Core duo CPU T6600 @ 2.20GHz 2.20GHz.(its a laptop)
couldnt find a technical/Problem section to post this in. scanned through the posting guidelines and nothing was mentioned of them. sorry to the mods if this should not be here but i want to play my games! its been months now and i cant play all my favourites! Ive even been as nice to my brother as to lend him 390 pounds so he didnt get kicked out of his flat since he broke it. Hope theres someone that can help?
