Right now I have to do a research paper on a person or an event during WWII. So I chose Joseph Stalin,(I always liked Russian culture so I chose something dealing with Russia) now he wasn't exactly a great guy with the killings of his own people and others as well, but damn I respect the guy. Just the stuff he did, I think wow that is respectful-ish.

So who or what is a terrible person you respect. Real life, movies, games, etc. just name it.

Alexander the Great, and Pope Julius II. Have to respect a pope that personally leads armies against his enemies.

Tempted to say Mussolini made the trains run on time.

But I'll go for Zynga CEO Mark Pinkus, totally immoral and unethical business practices, but they worked.

Geert Wilders (dutch politician), he's a huge racist who want's to drive all the foreigners out of our country, but at least he is not afraid to say what he thinks.

Stalin is worth respecting. He did terrible things, sure, but the extent to which he can be held responsible varies. The Great Purges, for example. Thousands were killed and imprisoned, but the Soviet system was vast, unwieldy. Stalin simply cannot have personally ordered all the executions. Some of them, yes, but things get out of hand. A person who genuinely Wrecked may have pointed to someone else, who in turn pointed to someone else, etc etc.

Despite the bad things, he managed to industrialise an agricultural country to the point it could survive an invasion that would have otherwise crippled it. Throwing endless amounts of men at Stalingrad may not have been the subtle strategy, but it definitely worked.

My Social Studies teacher.
She's sexist, racist (against whites, a double whammy for me), and one of those kinds of people who feels like they are ALWAYS right, and gives no room for any defense while swinging accusations with no base in reality nor have any evidence.
No, I don't think I'm smarter than her, nor better, but I think she is a god-awful leader. I can't imagine her leading a nation.
She means well, but not by any means does she usually do well.

Kanye West. He is such a douche, but his music is so so good.

NEIN NEIN NEIN!

If I hear someone say this again my head may just explode! Haha.

That's a huge myth. Hitler made many, many unrepairable awful leadership errors and was certainly not the best man for the job.

John Wesley Hardin.

Killed 40 men as a old west outlaw, went to prison for 7 years and become a lawyer, then was shot in the back of the head by a former enemy (Who was a cop).

To be fair we are blood...

Sooo,.. why Gandhi? His peaceful protests too in your face? Or was it his kick ass quotes that made him a deplorable fellow.
"Live as if you were to die tomorrow, learn as if you were to live forever." (Paraphrasing but still awesome)

Going to go with Kim from N. Korea. He is a bastard but did you hear he got 8 hole in ones during his first game of golf. True story, gov't told me.

In terms of war, genocide, and racism yes. But he had died in say 1930 he would probably be considered the among greatest people in modern history.

Haha! You can add diplomacy in that list. He was shite at it. Oh, and politics. He did more bad then good politically as well.

If George Bush died in 2001 he would have gone down as a martyr and one of the most heroic presidents of all time.

Playing the "what if" game doesn't change reality and I don't really see how it creates a valid point.
