That Avatar!Where did it come from?

First off, oh noes another thread talking about the pretty picture in our posts >_<

Well now that that is out of the way the reason I am making this is because well I haven't made a thread in a long time so, here it goes. Most of us here on the Escapist have very unique avatars, whether it be something we drew or a character from our favorite anime, each is unique yet sometimes very obscure in their origins.

Take my newest avatar for example, most would not be able to place the video it came from right off the top of their head. Well that is the purpose of this thread, to tell the origin of your avatar[footnote]In bold for people that don't like to read: /[/footnote]

So I will start, my avatar comes from a little known Mars Volta video for Televators
I saw the video and said,"Wow that would make a good avatar."
Little bit of chopping and shopping and bam, new avatar.

Well Escapists tell me, where is your avatar from?

When I first started playing WCIII, I just thought up this name since I like Pandas...then when I signed up for this place, I just picked this avatar since I had been using it in Counter Strike Source. Now its just stuck ever since. I'm sure a lot of people recognize it too, so thats always a plus.

I actually get messages all the time of people asking where my avatar is from and to clear it up, if you had asked me when I first got it, I couldn't tell you.

I was just browsing an anime forum and saw it, thought it was adorable and posted it as mine.

I now know it's from UFO Valkyrie.

AND AGAIN: Oh, why did I choose it? Well, I wanted to make my username a really obscure Lost reference, and I settled on Frozen Donkey Wheel. One google image search later, I had an avatar.

I've never played FFXI, but judging from that laugh and what I've heard of Shantotto from clips of Dissidia, she's quite the snob, is she not?

Anyway, my avatar(s) are all hand-made by me, and people who've known me around here for a while can attest to the fact that it kinda stands out. There was a time when many other people had Kerricks like mine that I made for them on request, but I guess that "fad" has passed for the most part. I still take requests, though.
