Probably the first time I beat Zelda (the original). What a great game that was... and how hard compared to other NES games of the time.

I don't think I beat any game ever when I was little.

I was really bad at them, & spent a few years in an RTS phase in which I did little more than fool around with scenario editors.
*GASP* you! Quit stealing my past life! Thats all i did. I created many a beautiful city, i was quite good with the Age of Empires series.

Finally beating the Halo trilogy on Legendary. So awesome, I nearly passed out (though that might have been because I didn't sleep in two days attempting to finish Halo 3).

The first time I beat Mario 3 for NES, sans warps and tornado travel. What a glorious day.

The day I stop feeling that for a game is the day I stop playing it, the day I stop feeling it at all is the day I quit gaming.

My favourite is beating some levels in the first few command & conquer games. You'd get frustrated grinding your army to paste against an enemy base and give up. But you'd try it the enxt day and something would've just clicked overnight. Weak spots you never noticed before are now glaringly obvious and your units dance across the screen exactly where needed.
Ah man, I remember that in Tiberian Sun, first time I beat AI on insane difficulty; the feeling I got when I pounded the AI base with wave after wave of Orca's was truly priceless.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time completely changed my life. The story is so GOOD, the gameplay is just challenging enough to not piss off previous generation gamers, and just easy enough to not make next-gen n00bs cry. It is... the best game I have ever played in my life.

Plus, it introduced me to the wall-run. And back then, I used to think with the logic that it's in the game, and someone must have thought of that. If someone must have thought of that, then it exists in some form in real life. One Google search later and my life was changed forever because of:

The discovery of Parkour.

PoP pwns.
I have vowed to buy every single PoP game that is an action-adventure.
