I am talking about the strange little "compulsions" you only develop while playing a certain game.

I was just playing Fallout 3 and realised that my "obsession" had gone too far when I blew a woman up with a grenade because she saw me stealing a hammer... For some unknown reason I was taking hammers anytime I saw them, I never sold them I just took them back to my house and put them in the filing cabinet next to the bed. :D

Also, on Oblivion I always gather up any bonemeal I can find and eat them in groups of 10 and leave the eating for a day while I go on adventuring and getting bonemeal along the way for tomorrows feast... However this one actually serves a slight purpose in that it raises my alchemy skill... The hammers on Fallout 3 get me nothing. :D

So, what are your weird game-related compulsions?

In Oblivion, I'd break into houses, and not take anything. I just love breaking open houses.

I've always been collecting Pre-War Money in Fallout 3. I just like the thought that, if I'd live in the old days and that money was actually still worth more than bottlecaps, I'd be a millionaire.

When I play "Azurik: Rise of Perathia", I jump instead of walking, and in the middle of each jump I spin in circles like a ballerina. And sing "ballerinaaaaa!" any time somebody sees me do it.

Whenever I used to get the Gravity Hammer in Halo 3, I'd say: "Stop! Hammer Time". Get it? MC. Master Chief.

Yep, I totally did that, too.

when i play a fps, like say team fortress 2 and i get a good kill like, 7 backstabs in a row (it happened once), or murdering a group of 5 as engineer, or killing a whole line of snipers as pyro or scout, you know something that surprises them.
i start smirking and then giggling diabolical, yes i can giggle diabolical.

and when ever i play a rts and i defeat one of the enemies bases i sacrifice a worker as a sign of good will to our god (that would be me), and if i weren't satisfied whit the battle i use the roman strategy aka killing a tenth of the army that disappointed me.

edit:
oh and i dont really know if it counts but when i play a good game entire packs of ciggarets disappear whit out me noticing.

Turning Invisible on Oblivion then punching someone in the back of the head. Their bewildered expressions make me smile.

Well, speaking for myself I have also gotten into collecting Pre-War money and Pencils in Fallout 3. Both have no weight and I could have sworn that I heard somewhere that both would be useful in one of the upcoming DLC packs, yet it never materialized.

I felt it was possible because they moved from Bottle Caps (which was kind of silly) to actual money/coins in Fallout 2 and I believe in Tactics (well actually it was Brotherhood Script for the Quatermaster in Tactics if I remember it's been quite a while, maybe I'll pick up the triology for $20 to replay on the off chance I actually run out of games on my 'to be played' pile ... ).

I love melee combat for some reason. Maybe becuase it strikes this weird balance between OMFG hard and LUlz one-hit-kill.

So in games like Killzone, I'll play it on the hardest difficulty until I can survive the majority of the time. Then turn around and play on easy with nothing but a knife. Why? Becuase stabbing people is HILARIOUS. It's good for you. It's FUN. Diving headfirst into a pack of rabid tojo in Call of Duty: World At War with nothing but a 1911 and your k-bar is entertaining.

Maybe I just like stabbin' folk.

Your tenpenny suite has a fancy little safe under the desk. Its where I kept all my pre-war money. I also stacked my shelves with all the food I could find, since I considered it one of the most valuable things to have in a lawless wasteland.

Its a shame you never really needed food and water for survival. Although theres most likely a mod for that out there.

I absolutely HAVE to have a full clip of ammunition. And in games where you can carry only so much ammo I MUST have full ammo to be at the top of my game.

If you buy themes like the Pre-War theme, your shelves get stocked with a lot of food. So, that could solve your problem.

I jump. No matter what game I just jump everywhere. Unless it's a game I can't jump on.

In game where I control more than one person (like an RTS) I get really into the game, almost saying outload the comands I give them, and start freaking out when I'm aout to lose..
