Exactly which kind doesn't matter. Civilization has collapsed. Hostile enemies roam the devastated landscape. And your hometown has become uninhabitable.

Before you leave, you can draw from your own video games three things:
1. A man-portable offensive weapon and a device that can replicate its ammo. However, said device can only be used once per day.
2. A suit of armor. The only limits are that the armor cannot make you more than 10 feet tall, and no integrated weapons apart from your armored limbs.

Alternatively, you can choose one player character's superpowers in lieu of weapons and armor. Magic is an option, as are any devices essential for these superpowers to function(a wand for a Harry Potter wizard, or an amp for a Mass Effect biotic).

3. A vehicle. This vehicle will have an unlimited fuel supply, and an ammo replicator if it needs one. However, this vehicle cannot be capable of powered flight, and it must be able to fit in a standard garage. This eliminates most tanks and walkers.

I will forgo the weapons and armor, and instead take Alex Mercer's powers from Prototype, making me nigh-unkillable. For my vehicle, I choose the Ghost from the Halo series. Fast, can go over water, and plasma weapons.

Ok, I think i Get it. So I get to choose three things from computer games to survive an apocalypse?

Alright.. Hmm...

Dante's Twin Guns, Ebony and Ivory from DMC
For armour I'd have a mix of random Wasteland gear from Fallout 3
And my vehicle would be... Those indestructable roller blades from Jet Set Radio.

Now how do I find out how long I will last?

Well fallout seems like an obvious candidate to choose from.
Power armour, energy weapons. But for vehicle i'll choose the car from borderlands, because it seems pretty durable and has guns.

Ok, weapon: Gauss Rifle (Fallout series)

Armour:
As for vehicle: Warthog (Halo series)

I don't know how the world ended, but I think I'll be ok.

1. Mw2's FAMAS.
2. Speaking of Halo paraphernalia, would a SPARTAN-II armour suit be too much to ask?
3. Ghost. Yep.

1. M1918A3 BAR
2. NCR Ranger Combat Armor. I'm sacrificing the capabilities for the awesome factor.
3. M2 Bradley APC. I did the math; it'll fit in a standard 1-car garage, if only just barely. I wanna see what survives a hit from a 25mm bullet.

For a weapon I'd take the M41-A pulse rifle from Aliens vs Predator (with several magazines and a full payload of grenades).
The armor I'd take from the Predator from Predator: Concrete Jungle, the invisibility screen and multi-view mode helmet would probably be a lifesaver.
And for a vehicle I'd probably choose the Humvee with the Dillon Aero minigun turret from Moder Warfare 2, though I'd probably have to have a companion with me to either drive or shoot.

Even though Mercer being the best choice, I wouldn't use him. Instead, I would go with a Plasma Rifle from Halo, the Elite Engineering RIG from Dead Space 2 and The Normandy from Mass Effect
The Normandy can fly and does not fit in a garage.

For my weapon? I want an AK-74 [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AKS-74U#AKS-74U] and for armor I want Samus's Gravity Suit. Sure it won't have the arm cannon but I'll be content with the protection it offers. I'd probably spray paint it a more camouflaged colour however.

1- M134 minigun with exploding ammo. Ammo is from a belt in a backpack. Mow 'em down!
2- Crysis 2 armor.
3- A miniature M1 Abrams (Fits in a garage :D)

I will be simple: A pistol-sword combo, though the pistol is the main weapon. Sword is for whatever the hell I might need it for. Armor would be light, leather or kevlar of some sort. I will not have a vehicle, I will go with my dog as my sidekick. :p

This sounds like the kind of thread that was made for the soul purpose for me to mention Fist of the North Star. In the event of Apocalypse, I would draw from video games AND manga (and anime too I suppose) to learn the deadly assassin's art of Hokuto Shinken

Here's an example. I would post more but I could easily go overboard with the Fist of the North Star stuff.
