Saw this and thought about the great strides that video games are making to be seen as a serious art-form. Discuss!

I find it weird but not unexpected, that only very popular games are listed. Ive played more obscure titles like Planescape Torment which feature more original, and more intriguing art styles. I am surprised Final Fantasy VI didn't get on there. Some of the bosses in VI were inspired by famous paintings if I recall correctly. Of course the more popular VII gets on there. Bioshock is on there, and not without it's parental figure System Shock 2 either.

I mean really does Pac-Man have as much of an art style as something like Myst? Why do people feel it necessary to put paintings of Technicolor ghosts that were designed with the same thought process as inputting lines into Notepad?

ALL video games are art. From Farmville to Test Subject Infinity, from Pong to Skyrim.
I wasn't exactly commenting that they weren't art, just that they weren't the most engaging or entertaining examples of art.
