I have decided to create a Badass Discussion Thread! It's simple: name the person you believe to be one of the greatest badasses of all time, and why.
Real-life awesome people are preferred in order to keep this thread from becoming the same as some recent ones, but if you are historically impaired, someone from a movie, book, game is acceptable.

I'll start: Alexander the Great is possibly the greatest badass in history. However, for badasses still alive today, I pick

General Stanley McChrystal. Look at the guy's Wikipedia entry: he has had one heck of a career.

Now, despite my examples, it doesn't have to be a military badass; heck, it doesn't even have to be human (there have been plenty of badass animals). Basically, if you don't know whether your pick is acceptable or not, it probably is anyway.

Abraham Lincoln, to be honest he is my personal chuck norris, but In real life he is a bad ass too me, but if were talking real life, I remember reading once, a long time ago about a fire fighter who held onto a little girl as a large gas ball caught aflame, he was seriously injured but the girl was okay, I don't remember all that much but that guy did something seeming truly badass too me.
