The best and worst final boss?

Final bosses are a staple of the action and RPG genre's. Sometimes they are very good, other times not so much. I want to know, in your opinion, what the best and worst final boss is from any games.

For me:

Best: Nier and Shadow of the Colossus
Worst: Prince of Persia: The sands of time

Worst: John Cena in SmackDown! vs Raw 2006. BLEED, DAMMIT! BLEED!

The first 2 Golden Suns' final bosses.
2 headed dragon then the 3 headed dragon. Cannot remember their names.
Standard JRPG chip-away boss, but what the dragons were made of was unexpected.

Best: Final Fantasy 6 (Kefka FTW)

Worst: Fallout 3 (if you even count it as a boss fight).

I wouldn't say it's the best, but I can't remember boss fights in great detail so I'll just say the Lich King from WoW was pretty cool.

I also liked the end fight against Kerrigan in Starcraft 2.

Worst? lessee... I know a lot of people might say Lucian from Fable 2, but I actually liked how it made sense. Lucian was, after all, a lord, not a fighter. He was also pretty old by the time you got to him. What kind of fight were you expecting him to put up?

Come to think of it, I think the worst was the last dude from Fable 3, mostly because he came out of nowhere. I mean, seriously, I had like half a year left! What the hell is this crap?

...So yeah.

I have a soft spot for the final boss in Sonic 2. Loved the tension, one screw up was all it took to kill yo. I was always on edge even though I knew what I was doing. Honorable mention goes out to Bayonetta. It's not in every game that you get t punch God into the Sun!

Worst... I'd go with the very final boss of Final Fantasy X. I'm one of those weird people who actually liked that game a whole lot, but the last battle is nothing but tedious (and incredibly dull).

Best: Mother Brain from Super Metroid. Great integration of story into gameplay.

Worst: Toss-up between Borderlands (the squid, not General Knoxx. General Knoxx is awesome.) and Fable.

Stupid question, but what is FOE?

OT: The best would probably be the final boss from Bayonetta, can't remember the name, but what saved that from being the worst was check points and if you died you didn't take it from the top.

Worst? It's either the Pope from AC II, that was stupid and a waste of my time. It's practically Punch Out in Renaissance Italy and it ended nothing.

Or Zeus from GOW 2, that was an exercise in frustration and it left you on a cliffhanger, and a stupid one at that.

Morrowind... Best (Since it takes approximately 5 in game weeks to prepare for him)

Best: Probably Tripticon from the recent "Transformers: War for Cybertron". Truly awesome, epic fight that spans more than an entire level. You battle inside of him, you battle him in space, you battle him on the ground... it's pretty damn sweet.

Worst: Hmm... probably the Valkyrie Gunship from "Warhammer 40K: Fire Warrior". Because I'm a Fire Warrior shooting down a Valkyrie Gunship.

FOE's (Field-On Enemy's) are overpowerd enemies (I count them as bosses) which you encounter while wandering through the dungeons in the Etrian Odyssey games.

Worst? The Joker from Arkham Asylum. NOTHING about it was original, or fun in any way.

- Bowser is a badass; always has been. But it's this one that always reminds me of that fact. Sure this choice is colored by nostalgia, but... well... so?

Worst: Fable 2
- Huge build up, then nothing. Christ what a disappointment.
