Alright so this is a pretty simple thread. What game or games have you always wanted to play but never really got a chance to?

For me it would have to be the Persona RPGs, I have heard almost universal praise for them from everyone I know who has played them but unfortunately I didn't have a reliable source of income during the PS2 era and now it's too late since I don't have my PS2 anymore. Such is life.

So again, what game or games have you always wanted to play but never really got a chance to Escapist?

Panzer Dragoon saga. It's just so damn expensive, but I have heard it is great. Extend that list to pretty much every dreamcast game ever made.

I'd have to go with Persona too. I've heard great things about that series and, for whatever reason, never really gave that series a chance. The weird thing is I love RPGs and I still have my PS2, so I guess I really have no excuse to not get it.

Quite a few, come to think of it. Fallout 3 is one of my favourite games so I'd love to give Fallout 1 & 2 a try. Similar story with System Shock 2, I'd love to play that. I've also never played Half-Life, Deus-Ex or Morrowind (for more than 10 mins). These are all fairly iconic games I've never gotten a chance to play. I'm totally fine with it but my curiosity does itch occasionally.

I have to agree especially since I'm in the same boat. I played the original Fallouts and Deus Ex for about 5 minutes before giving up. It's weird since I didn't dislike them but at the same time I wanted to stop playing. It's difficult to explain...

I've wanted to try X-Com: UFO Defense and Jagged Alliance for a some time now, but I'm waiting until I have my super-bad-ass-motherfuckin'-PC built so I have all kinds of games on there, including Skyrim, BF3, the Postal games(something else I've wanted to try) and others.

Back when I was a kid, I wanted to try out "Amazing Creatures" for the PC and the game "Silver" for the Dreamcast, but I never had the chance to buy either of them.

All the tales rpgs , i completly missed the boat on that one . Also the .hack series . Once i went to game stop and they were selling 7.hack games for 249$ ... I didn't buy it thinking it would take me at least 2 yeArs to get though all 7 properly . Im still kicking myself over that . Biggest gaming regret EVER.

Killer 7.

Ever since Yahtzee reviewed No More Heroes, I've always wanted to give this game a try. But none of the stores in my area have it on Gamecube (which I'm told is the superior version), and I've just never gotten around to buying it on eBay. I really like No More Heroes 1 and 2, so I would like to check this out at some point.

Red dead Redemption, too much games coming in the near months.
Might I recommend Undead Nightmare. The same mechanics, characters and game world in a shorter better paced and fun package.

Just Cause 2 or Metro: 2033; never got round to either as I don't really have the money and have other purchases to make first.

System Shock 2 for the obvious reasons (my age, legal rights issues)

Never have had a Sony console, so things like Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, Okami etc.

How can you know what the game is like without playing it?

Recently, I've been playing some games I missed earlier. I found most of them to be... not really that good.
Might I suggest reading before responding guy. I asked what games would like to play that you haven't gotten a chance to. I did not ask for you to describe a a game you've never played.

A Hermit's Cave
As far as 'popular' games are concerned, there're quite a few I haven't played. The ones that come to mind are: Persona; Final Fantasy; Legend of Zelda; & GTA (in all cases, the entire series).

Yes, I know... the heresy...
