In all seriousness, X-Com: UFO Defence is the best thing I've purchased from Steam. I've gotten some great games and a lot of bargains, but nothing, nothing, beats X-Com (Well except JA2 which I still have on disk and also bought from GOG).MrMoustaffa said:The original Xcom for about $5 /thread.
Ha, in all seriousness though, Company of Heroes and all its expansion packs for $10 was a hell of a deal. Got Fallout new vegas and that Technology blues pack thing for 12 bucks too. I bought them and I know my comp cant even run them, I just bought them so that when i can afford a better computer this christmas I'll have an couple of awesome games to play right off the bat.
I think the free games I've gotten were just as awesome too. I've gotten Teamfortress 2 AND the original portal for free.
What sucks is my computer is old and dying and I cant play any of the games besides the original xcom yet. I've been saving up for a new computer, and having these games ready to go will make that day that much sweeter
Unless you are buying for a Mac or must have the Steam Overlay. I'd suggest you buy from GOG because then it will truely be DRM free.Chased said:I would be hard pressed to choose either Braid or the Orange Box Bundle. This is probable to change though since I'm not sure if I should buy Pyschonauts, (assuming I like it as much as I think I would).
