We all have one. A book that we were reading, but something came up or you found something more interesting or simply got bored of it. And now it sits in your self half finished, but every once and awhile you take a look at it and say "I'm gonna finish it some day".
So i ask you what is your "gonna finish some day" book?
Me?
The second Lord Of The Rings book and im stuck in the middle to. So im stuck in the middle of the LOTR trilogy!!

I'm stuck on Return of the King, the last book in the LOTR trilogy. There's this span of a chapter or two after the Battle of the Pelennor Fields (aka the Seige of Gondor) where NOTHING happens and everyone sits around being depressed. That's where I'm stuck.

LOTR also, I got about 60 pages into Fellowship and then put the movie on instead. I used to be a HUGE reader............then I lost weight.

But no, seriously, I did used to read an awful lot, maybe 10 books a month at one point, but they just cant hold my attention anymore. All hail electronic media ay?

LOTR RotK. I'll get to it. Sometime, this year but I just don't got the time.

Also Harry Potter, I plan to re-read it sometime before I die.

The Silmarillion - ie, LOTR's creation myth.

That book is convoluted as fuck.

Also, the Harry Potter series. Never finished it. Wandered off after the films were released as I found them much more interesting.

Also just picked up the Night Angel Trilogy for £7. They are sitting on my desk, taunting me.
Good lord... to both. I mean seriously! I started NAT one day, finished the trilogy less than a week later. And William Gibson is most disappointed. =P

What're you reading now?

Stephenson's "The Diamond Age." I'm just never in the mood to read it for some reason...

Book five of wheel of time. Wait screw that... the whole wheel of time series
The more you read that series, the more it drags on with nothing happening and the protagonists winning every time. Quit while you're ahead :p

Book four of The Wheel of Time series, I kept meaning to finish it, but university books kept popping up. I will get back to it soon, after I've finished reading The Shining.

I have a bunch, I'm sorry to say. The Silmarillion, The Divine Comedy, the Warriors series (what? I loved those as a kid...), Wuthering Heights, book five of The Dark Tower, Les Miserables, Memoirs of a Geisha, A Clockwork Orange...

I literally got to the last couple chapters of "A canticle for Leibowitz", and just... never picked it up again. And I have NO idea why.

Ok I can understand you got stuck on the Silmarillion, I still have bad memories of my 1st of many read throughs, but LOTR was a joy to read.

Anyway I got stuck on page 5 or 6 of Ulysses by James Joyce, one of the few books that I started to read but never ended. I usually force myself to read a book even when it's bad (yes I'm looking at you Philip Pullman with your worthless "his dark materials" trilogy).

On the large scale, The Divine Comedy. Made it to the beginning of Purgatorio, never went a page further.

On the slightly small scale, Enders Game. I didn't really make it very far in that book at all. Both were pushed aside to read Starship Troopers/JDatE, which were both good anyway.

Don't let any religiously sensitive people take this seriously, but, the Bible. Up till this day I haven't yet read it all. I think I read maybe.. a total of two-thirds of it, but I don't know if I will ever sit down to absorb it completely. I do have the tendency to skip to the badass verses now and then, I guess.
