So, with the possibility of this place falling apart any day now, some of us figured that having a quick replacement for the forums ready to go would be useful. To that end we've tried to replicate some of the main rules for a Discord setting as well as mirroring the forums on this site in the layout of channels, further revisions are likely if people have ideas.
Thus, we present. The Bunker. An unofficial Discord Chat for The Escapist in case of Total Site Failure.
The rules are minimal but simple and attempt to keep the core principles of the site alive:
Rule 1: Be civil. Actively and repeatedly antagonizing people with name calling or abusing privileges here will result in the team taking action.
Rule 2: Nothing explicit / pornographic. This is not a discord for sharing that kind of thing.
Rule 3: Observe the Discord rules on illegal content in posts.
A guide to Discord Moderator Actions; These are a rough guide to possible actions that mods and admins can take against people for rule breaking. This is not comprehensive, and responses will be proportionate based on severity of rule breaking and repeat offences. (It's unlikely you're going to get banned for being rowdy and calling people names unless you do it constantly).

-Kicked. Upon return, muted for 1 day starting from the time of the kick.
-Temporary Ban to be removed after 1 week.
-Banhammer With No Appeal.
To reduce spambots and other ne'er-do-wells, you need to verify your Discord's email. As well as this, new Discords must wait 10m to join. Upon joining, if you want an Escapee role, please change your Discord nickname to your Escapist nickname or ping a mod / admin.
