So I'm going to bring up a situation that's been ongoing for a few months now but that I only now feel has enough meat to it to generate a decent discussion.
On September 27th, two youtube personalities known as Kiryu Coco and Akai Haato (Known as Haachama among fans), were suspended by the company they work for, Cover. This suspension was for three weeks and was publicly said to be because they violated the rules of the company by sharing confidential information and made comments that were "insensitive to residents of certain regions".
The actual reason for the suspension was because of pressure from Chinese nationalists that had also started a hate and spam campaign against the two women which is still continuing even now, which also included demands that one of them, Coco, be fired from the company.
Recently the company that made a very popular game among Cover's talents, 'Muse Dash' has banned all of them from streaming the game, this is their official statement.
EDIT: I've learned that the official statement from the company of the Muse Dash game is fake, but the probating of the videos of Muse Dash streams is still true. On this aspect I'll have to wait and see what's really going on.
It is likely that more Chinese companies will also start banning Cover's talents from streaming their games.
Even worse is that Cover has several Chinese talents that are now having to be graduated from the company due to both fear for their safety, and the loss of revenue due to large drops in their followers on Bilibili. It is still up in the air how much these talents will be able to keep after graduating, their avatars and characters, etc.
Now you may be wondering what caused all of this. What was it that was said or done that was so terrible as to warrant this kind of reaction?
First Haachama and then Coco on the following day had brought up the analytics of their Youtube channels and talked about what countries they had the most viewers from, with the third being Taiwain. That's it. That is literally the only thing this is all about. They mentioned Taiwan as a country.
Here's an actual news article you can look at about this to make this relevant to Current Events.

Thoughts on this? How long can we continue this current situation with China before something gives? This is Soviet Union levels of petty maliciousness.
