The comming year of 2011 in Video Games, also known as the year many of us will never see the sun

So just looking over what has already been in development, if wikipedia is to be believed anyway, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_games_in_development , and there's still Gears of War 3, and what with Elders Scrolls V, Mass Effect 3, Uncharted 3, Little Big Planet 2, Resistance 3, Crisis 2, Dues Ex Human Revolution, Dragon Age 2, Killzone 3, Bullet Storm, Diablo III, The Last Guardian, Star Wars Old Republic, Rage, Spec Ops: The Line, Batman Arkham City and everything else yet to be given that 11' target year, assuming most if not all these target dates are held I fear many of us may forget about the world outside games for the next year.

That being said is there a proper place to draft a last will and testament if I myself don't make it through the year.

Your list largely bores me. I'm not at all interested in Gears, Uncharted, or Resistance, and I didn't particularly enjoy Oblivion (still planning to try Morrowind). I am going to pick up ME3, though.

well im quite skeptical on portal 2 and HL2 ep3 for obvious reasons, beyond good and evil 2 is an obvious attempt to screw with my sanity (meaning i dont believe it). i havent heard anything about arkham city, but i have a feeling should i look into it ill find theyve announced online multiplayer and completely ruined it; but my pessimism aside it SHOULD be great. dead space 2 is dead to me for the above reason. TOR has still yet to present any evidence of being in the slightest bit worthy of carrying the KOTOR name. but bioshock infinite...that alone might keep my locked inside for many a night. that game just looks to damn perfect. doom 4 sounds interesting, being one of apparently few people that enjoyed doom 3.

looks...better than this year i suppose. what did we have...RDR; thats all i can think of.

What I'm looking forward to next year: Skyward Sword, Dragon Age 2, LA Noire , Mass Effect 3, Skyrim, and I think that covers it. I'm sure I'll come across more, though.

That list doesn't even mention most of the 3DS games that are supposed to be released with it (or within a few months of it) and although many of them are just remakes of old N64 games (OoT, Star Fox) there are also games like, Kid Icarus, MGS, Resident Evil (both of them), Pilotwings and of course the lovely Pokemon B&W (for the DS of course, would have been nice for them to make it for the 3DS though) and many more.

Blargh, from that wiki list, and the games for the 3DS (and the price of the 3DS), I can already tell I'll be spending much more than I should next year on games. And I still have to get back in WoW too. Too bad, since I have school to be paying for too =(.

They said the same thing about 2010, and look at how shit that turned out to be. I'm remaining pessimistic until the actual games are released.

But is it wrong the only one on the OP's list I care about is ME3? Also, I want Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Shit, I forget about the backlog of games I need to play... Fuck it, I'll cull that list down to just Vanquish if it means more time with Arkham City, TES V, Gears 3 and ME3.
