Ok, I want you to think of a creature. The most horrifying thing you could make up in your head. No actually monsters, just one made up in your head.

Now, explain to us what this creature looks like and what it does.

As always, don't look at other posts before you type out yours. And hopefully try to make it off the top of your head.

I'd think of something, but I don't wanna sound silly (oh ho ho ho)

It's like a giant, white larva with a massive toothy maw (kinda like a shark's mouth) that is always open, and has a patch painfully pulled across it's single eye. It has holes in it's skin across it's body that ethereal arms extend from to grab the souls of people that it flys over, and pull them into it's fire-filled body as it lets out it's spine-tingling shrieks.

I don't really have much of an idea of what it looks like, but something that could invade your mind and make you do whatever it wanted without you even realizing that you weren't making the decisions yourself.

Honestly, the 'monster' that's been in more of my nightmares than anything or anyone else since I was a child?

No joke, by the way. It just, rolls at me on an infinite plane of darkness, and then I jerk awake right before it runs me over. Hasn't happened in a few years, but... Still. And no, they don't bother me in life, it's just in that dream.

But I wanted to post Frank :(

Can't really think of any since I was a kid. My imagination kinda sucks.

My monster would eat and grow as a fungus, but move like an animal. In it's first 5 years, the creature is motile and moves like a slug and is as large as a puppy. Its appearance is that of red-orangish sludge that is composed of many fungal spores that are used for its next stage. This creature has no eyes to begin with, and only can "see" by feeling the vibrations in the surface its attached to. When awake the creature pulsates rapidly from its vascular system.

Its next stage is when it grows a large eye with a wide pupil around 2 inches in diameter. At this point its sludge appearance now turns a pine green as the fungal spores have finally matured. At this stage the mold is as large as a backpack and fortifies itself on a wall where it spreads its slime-like vines. These vines mature into other nodes which are sessile and take on the appearance of the original slime mold in the same color. As these other nodes mature in days, the connective vines start to glow an eerie neon green showing that the mold is about to reach its primal stage.

The primal stage is the process of itself further spreading its other nodes until eventually it digests every nutrient possible in subterranean caverns.

That's the most I could do at the top of my head. That was fun. :)

I see the skinless body of a komodo dragon, its leg and rib bones protruding out from the lumps of still bleeding flesh. It towers over, two stories tall and leaving footprints the size of cars. With every movement, a torrent of gnashing, grinding, and oozing as it lumbers with great diligence forward. It turns to reveal it's head; eyes barely crammed into their sockets, an oozing pus slipping down its nostrils, and drool so rancid that it is black and rots away anything that touches it.

Honestly, it doesn't take much to scare me. It just has to be obviously not human for one and two, it just has to stalk me around for a while like how Pyramid Head just stares at you for a bit in SH2 from the other side of the bars. Because I don't know why they are watching me, what they plan to do, what they are capable of...it's honestly all just psychological for me.
