Roland Deschain placed his waterskin back in his belt, wiping the sweat off his brow with his, complete, left hand. A scattering of sand hit his worn boots, and the wind
(the tower)
seemed to whisper,
"Aye, mayhap this time will be different." Roland looked to the horizon of the sloped desert plains, and could make out thin trails of smoke. The man in black was ever closer. He would tell Roland how to reach his tower. Touching the horn of Eld upon his belt, thinking of Cuthbert fondly as he did so, he continued his never-ending quest.
The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.

In the near future I will be hosting an RPG based on The Dark Tower. If you are familiar with the background, then you may guess the main, overall, "Goal" of the quest players will be partaking in. If not, well, then you'll just have to wait and see. A lot of players will not want to commit to an RPG they know little about, but, for me that is half the fun.
Some outlines, miscellanious info, and other things. This RPG is application based. At the bottom of the post, feel free to fill out a character sheet and PM me with it. It will then be accepted or declined. If accepted I will post it in this thread myself so we can keep track of who is playing. I do not want people saying, "Cool story bro," and posting up a character sheet. The game itself will be a post-per-chapter (Usually one per day,) system that I am sure most of you are familiar with. It is simple. I post the events of a situation, guide time flow, and outline what the hell is going on. Then players will post, well, really anyting they like. Be it hiding in a corner crying or shooting themselves in the head. They can really nominate to do anything they like, that is possible to be done by a normal person, however Godlike their combat skills may be. In your player posts, you could, say, go through what's already happened in the previous chapter from your perspective if you want to add your characterisation to it so that we can get a better feel for your character. You could outline current thoughts, reactions, and then go on to say what you want to do next. It's very, very open. The hand of Ka will always have its way, however, and if players are steering away into unrelated lands then it will slap them repeatedly into the right direction. You will be a part of the ka-tet of The Horn. I would tell you what I want your characters to be like, but this is the only guideline I give. Make them human, and from a world -you- relate to very well indeed. The rest of it is up to you. The rest of the quality of your sheets is up to you. I am putting my faith into all of you to come up with character sheets that abide by what I'm looking for, without me holding your hand. It is somewhat a leap of faith. Let's see how you do, shall we?
Oh, by the way. The story will have happiness, may it do ya well, but it will not be all happy. There will no doubt be casualties, and tragedies, along the way of this quest. Not all deaths are glorious, and you may end up dying alone, cold, and scared in a dark abyss. You would not be the first hero to die in such a way. The hand of Ka and Gan will guide you, (Perhaps to Can Ka No Rey, who knows?) but you are not invincible.

Location:
Characterisation: (Physical, mental, anything else you would wish to add.)
Background: (Can include any occupation, anything else you might like to add.)
"But in what world or context is my background in, Dinnj?"
Well, (and this is my final hint, by Gan,) Your character knows nothing of the other worlds that are out there, or the tower, the rose, or anything else related. They lead a, normal? (Up to you,) life. So far. And so can be anything you like of this world.
I will make updates in this thread. When I, and the players, are ready to begin I'll make a seperate one with the first chapter.
