For those that don't already know... www.darkfallonline.com

Darkfall is one of the most ambitious MMO projects in history.

Da Disclaimah: We are NOT from Warhammer Online, any Warhammer fan with any self respect hates that game and spits at EA for what they did with it. We are a bunch of Warhammer fans from Warhammer fan sites, who appreciate both WF and 40K.

So, we're a mature clan, we don't want to come into Darkfall with our Warhammer fluff and screw up the game for the rest of you gits. So we decided to work our fluff in with Darkfall lore.

"Da Old Onez made us special"

Da Darkfall Waaagh! are going to be a naval based Darkfall Waaagh! Clan with Warhammer Orkz. It's going to be a male only guild, "Caus da femalz iz all girly!"

Our Waaagh! fluff goes something like this.

"Da Orkz iz always been ere' on dis world but da' Old Onez came long ago an' made us special! We'z not need da girly onez any mores! We'z da Spore boyz! We'z got more Wyrdboyz dan any other clan, and We'z gonna stay Feral! WAAAGH!"

Ok it's a bit more complicated than that, but that's a summery. We're not going to shove our WAAAGH! born Warhammer Fluff down the throats of all you Darkfall lore lovers, we're just working our fluff into the Darkfall story.

We have no way of knowing the names of the different Servers yet so we've basically decided to decide which server is the "Most Orky" when it gets here. So there's a good chance when you pick a server that looks like it has an "Orky" name, that will be the base of our Waaagh!

PS: Other clans and Warhammer fans are dedicated to making Waaaghs, so ours will not be the Only Waaagh! Our Waaagh will, however, be Naval Based, and we're going to the the Waaagh! with the most spell casters and ranged fighters "Cauz we's da shootiest an we'f got da most Wyrdboyz!"

If anyone would like to join the Waaagh! visit http://darkfallwaaagh.clangrid.com/ The site's just up and we're looking to get recruiting.

EDIT: Due to the embarrassing realization that Waves of Waaagh had the acronym WoW, we have decided to simply name our Waaagh! the Darkfall Waaagh!

Anyway, we're an Ork Clan bringing Warhammer Orkz to Darkfall. We have the lore tied in so as to not effect Darkfall RP, and we're of course going to be an all male Ork guild on the most Orky Sounding Server.

It's Orcs, not Orks. I'm confused are you making a private server for darkfall online or.....?

The Orcs in the Warhammer universe are called Orkz.
I have the Warhammer Orcs and Goblins army book right in front of me, they are only called Orkz in 40k.
Warhammer 40K, sorry, not fantasy Warhammer. In 40K, which it looks like he is using, they're Da Orkz.

But in 40k they use spores to reproduce, in fantasy they do it the normal way :p (so far)

Edit: Nevermind point proven, looks like he is using a mix.

Edit 2: Count me in.

Edit 3: Is Darkfall going to cost a subscription fee?

A character being one of the Orkz would actually kind of suck...Low health, forced to work in a unit with seventy other people...But still, this sounds interesting.

What do you mean, low health and being forced to work in a unit with seventy other people? I assure you in Warhammer fluff an ordinary Ork/Orc is around as strong as a Spacemarine. And they are much tougher than odinary men.

You obviously know nothing about Warhammer and little about Darkfall Online.

Hang your head in shame at your ignorance...

In 40K an ORDINARY Ork(I'm talkin' Boyz here) has one wound, and you need to roll a 2-3 to hit pretty much every time. They aren't anywhere NEAR as strong as a Space Marine, unless I'm playing against someone who just has a weird army...>.<

The game doesen't look that good. I mean besides looting another players armor and Oblivion like combat, there's really nothing more to it.(Don't get me wrong, if this game is good I will get it, but the last 2 mmos I played that were "supposed to be good" weren't that enjoyable.)

Also, the animations just don't look right.

Er, I've been a Warhammer fan for the past 5 or so years, and I liked WAR.
It's good for the first 10 levels or so, but after that it got very boring for me. I mean all you do all day is grind so you can get more...(I forgot how the currency was called) so you can get better armor and repeat...and the scenarios aren't really that great I mean unless your level....8 or so you'll mostly get killed in the tier 1 scenarios, same goes for the 2nd tier unless your about level 17 or so you'll always get killed.

Also I played a Squig Herder till level 13.

I played Squig Herder and Warrior Priest. Enjoyed both and the only reason I'm not still playing is a lack of time and money.
Although I've noticed the same thing as when I played WoW, it is a LOT better when you have friends with you.

I've been anticipating this game for months now. It's been in development for over seven years and has only recently been confirmed as a real game and not a completely perfect hoax. None the less, I can't wait 'til the pre-order is available. It sounds like the best MMO of all time.

These things can pretty much be said about any MMO out there. If you go into an MMO, you should just expect there to be grind, it's just the way it is, and it's the same as leveling up in any RPG, which is essentially what MMOs are (MMORPG... get it?). And yeah, having friends or guildies to play with definitely enhances the playing experience, that's the reason why it's online and not just single player

That being said, I've played warhammer for over 7 years now, and I like WAR
