So this is an idea I have had in my head for a while, we all give a little eulogy for our favorite (Or least favorite) NPCs in video games, so yeah it will have spoilers like crazy.

Kaiden Alenko: Kaiden you were a true friend, and even though you never EVER left the ship I felt we somehow had a special bond, one based around us never speaking. Then one day on Virmire tragedy struck. I was faced with a terrible decision, I could either save you or Ashley Williams, and as much as the decision pained me I decided to go with the girl I could have fake sex with. And yes it is true that I had already settled on Liara at that point and Ash thought I was a humongous prick, but still she is named after a Bruce Campbell character, and I can not allow anything that reminds me of that to die. Also I am sorry about sending your relatives a box of coal that we claimed were your remains, but in my defense you were blasted into a million pieces and collecting them all seemed like too much work. Goodbye Kaiden your absence in our lives will be... noted.

Benjamin Carmine, you were more than just a rookie. You went above and beyond the call of duty while still knowing where you stand, you did indeed make your family heritage proud. At ease... you magnificent soldier of the COG.

Don't worry, we all know the last Carmine brother will be so epically badass that the family name will echo throughout the heavens. >:D

Fair thee well, Staff Sgt. Johnson. May flights of angels sing you to your rest, and then you beat them up.
*sniff* Excuse me, I have something in my eye...And my other eye...I have something in my heart...

Fawkes.
You died as you lived, screaming and firing your gatling laser.

The Adoring Fan.
Found with nineteen stab wounds. Then again with twenty-four arrow wounds in the chest. Then with considerable bruising. Then on fire. Then seemingly dropped from a great height. Then with the words "STOP FOLLOWING ME" carved into his skull.

Yoshi.
I'm truly sorry, but I really needed to get to that platform.

That's technically an Episode 2 spoiler.

He was the only character with his face hidden, I expected him to die in the first cutscene.
Ironically, he is the only ally that never gets 'killed' during combat when I play.

Which is no reason to not use or name spoiler boxes.

Yes... But it would spoil the whole game, HL2 ep 1 and 2. You'd go through it all knowing that that one event would eventually happen.

You DO know what the initials NPC stand for.... yeah?
I have no idea how to do spoiler tags, so I hope this doesn't spoil anything. But if you have any interest in the series, there's a good chance you've already finished Killzone 2 but, here goes...

Jan Templar. I was really disappointed you didn't play as him in the second game, and even more disappointed they killed him off.

Farewell Jericho. You inspired me to greater things, like launching mini nukes in the Rivet City bazaar or shooting friendly NPCs in the face when they were thanking me for saving them. You made me the man I am today.

Must... not... kill... must not kill...
Also, we're talking about decent NPC's who we liked. I didn't use her more than once and that one time she was the only one to die in the fight, she was useless in a fight.
Sorry, but no...

Aerith Gainsbrough, you will be missed. Your death is remembered as one of the saddest moments in gaming history and so well know that it doesn't even need a spoiler alert. Small tribes of undiscovered wildmen in the depths of the Amazon rainforest could pick up a copy of FF7 and immediately recognise you as 'the one who dies so don't bother levelling her as it's a waste of time'.

You died peacefully and, eventhough you were stabbed through the gut, shed no blood. You die surrounded by those you loved but who didn't love you enough to waste a phoenix down or the mp required to cast life on you.

But your death was not in vain, you succeeded in calling forth Holy to stop Meteor, although by the time we beat Sephiroth so that the spell could to it's work it was to late and lifestream had to come forth to stop Meteor making your sacrifice a bit in vain, sorry our bad.

Lastly I really hope had Sephiroth killed you outright with that stab as I'd hate to think that you were just unconscious when I dropped your body into a lake and that your actual death was by drowning as your wounded body was to weak to swim.

R.I.P. Aerith Gainsbrough
