And people say that halo has a poor story.

Well damn, that was an interesting read. I wish I played ODST more now and I wish I found all of those audio logs.

Thanks for the link.

So a subplot in Halo ODST subtly mirrors The Divine Comedy? An interesting hypothesis.

Indeed, Halo has a decent story. Nothing world shattering, but functional.

But that's not because it draws some parallels with a classical work of 14th century Italian literature. Referencing something great does not automatically elevate the referring work. There's more to story than just good inspiration.

There are reasons why Halo: ODST was ignored by most, some say "The story sucked! like all Halo games!" Now I can point and laugh as to how wrong they are.

Not surprising, Halo has always borrowed from religious texts and ideals. Hell I seem to remember the Queen ***** of ONI referencing Dante directly in Glasslands.

That said, I never thought that Halo had bad writing, indeed its universe (though more so the extended one) is one of my favorite sci fi ones out there, and honestly out of all the shooters I'VE played it has one of the best storylines (Falling behind Bioshock one)
