This is a video from DSP(Darksydephil). I watch his playthroughs all the time and i think that what he says here is brilliant!

Interesting points but I dont agree with him. The two mechanical choices of 2 weapons and regenerating health were a bad choice for this kind of game. The former because they force you to take effective weapons over just fun weapons and the latter because if they wanted EGO to be the health for Duke then they should made EGO regenerate by killing enemies and peforming executions. Make the player get into the fight and pull off continued kills instead of hiding in the corner which is counter to what EGO should represent.

The other issue IMO was bad pacing. There were to many places that just had the kind of boring pacing like with turret sections (which are zero fun for me) or when you ended up fighting off waves of enemies.

I also disagree with him about the scores but thats just because I dont believe a complex opinion can be represented numerically

Clutching...onto...relevance...must not let go...cannot motivate oneself to leave mother's basement...

Sorry. I couldn't sit through all 27 minutes of this. Perhaps that colors my opinion. The last youtube video I saw was from another thread. It was from a 12 year old girl singing "What is Love (Baby Don't Hurt Me)" and doing nothing particularly interesting, and she was more compelling than this guy. I don't care about his nitpicking any more than I care when bronies bring up that the creator of My Little Pony said that grown-ups can watch the show as well (thanks for the permission. I'll remember that if I ever decide to bond with my creepy elderly neighbor who watches Olsen Twin movies).

I don't think I can stomach 27 minutes of some guy saying, "Hey! Leave Duke alooooone!"
