I've been listening to a lot of music recently, and I've found that I enjoy "emotional" music a lot when feeling a bit down, sooooo

post some emotional songs/videos! here are my main ones

I post this one, mainly because I am at this crossroads in my life. I have a gift of speaking to people, and influencing crowds. I've been told that if I wanted to, I could become a leader. However, I am dedicated to caring for people and am looking down that route. Business is not for me.

This. Video.

This makes me reflect on my own mortality, which makes me want to get up and do shit. Aint nobody got time for moping.

"It's ok not to be ok." May seem buzzwordy, but I'm often hard on myself and become frustrated and feel inadequate. Being reminded that I'm human, and learning, is actually helpful.

Lets get all emotional up in here!

Ultimate feels song for me, Johnny Cash as an old man who died not long after. Reflecting on a long life of lost love, drug abuse and other regrets.

This is the song I typically listen to when I'm feeling depressed.

I'll also occasionally try to play it, but the bass line is quite difficult for me.

To save you all the hassle of looking through and me embedding pretty much their entire discography, I'll leave it at this one (for now). This song is by my favorite band, Streetilight Manifesto. I've been listening to them exclusively for...the last three to four weeks. This song in particular has been one of my go-tos recently because the first verse and the chorus really speak to me. My life has been incredibly stressful lately, causing much anxiety and exacerbating my depression to the point I am starting to function improperly. It's relatively okay though since I know what to do this time to start getting back on track and I'm going to try a lot harder to get better treatment.

I think I love you. Not my favorite song by them, but I love you none the less.

This is so weird, how our posts are only two minutes apart...

It's not my favourite either - that would probably have to be either The Big Sleep or Somewhere in the Between - but it's the one that is best at picking me up.

A Moment of Silence is also really good like you said, but I cannot listen to it without listening to A Moment of Violence immediately afterwards.

I might as well list another song while I'm here:

Both the song and the video give me far too many feels.

In honor of the band (that I'm pretty sure is) the source of your pub-club title,
Song gives me feels.

Also, SLM released The Hands That Thieve. I only found out about it two months ago and I wanted to make sure you knew as well. Great album in my opinion.

You are the first person (I know of) to get the reference.

And now the love is most definitely mutual! =D

Yup, totally did just use this as an excuse for another emotional Reel Big Fish song.

I am aware of it. I haven't heard anything on it other than The Three of Us so far, but that song's awesome.

This one for sure

It gives such a deep feeling... I listened to this song when I was going around town saying goodbye to any people I knew the day before I moved, after having lived there for 18 years of my life. Felt good, man

There are tons of them, but most recently this one;

Say what you will about the ending, but this piece is beautiful.

I could keep posting for a long time in this thread, but I'll keep it short for now.

I'm aware two of these are covers, but they're great covers.

Similar to the OP, the song "Run" has an emotional effect on me, both versions by Snow Patrol and

Another emotional song is

because that is my song to my girl. Hah, she says she can feel my emotions when I sing it to her...and normally I am stoic and monotone.

Music has a strong effect/influence with me, but these are the songs that have the most impact.

Oh, and of course my personal theme song ( there's a whole story attached to that, but that's for a different day & time )

There are a lot of options. Considering most music is made to be emotional. Here is a random from the "Feels" list.

If we're defining "emotional" as "sad, nostalgic, melancholy" then I would say this song, though the entire soundtrack works, but this song in particular.

For a more personal emotion, this song

This album in total, but this song in particular, literally saved my life during the lowest point in my life as a teenager. Rush has more of a meaning in my life than I can actually state.

How about something emotionally uplifting rather than a downer?

As a generally depressing, dark-spirited mope, it helps me to listen to stuff like this from time to time. It makes the general drudging slog toward inevitable death a little more bearable.

This is one I sometimes listen to when things fall apart and events are out of my hands:

The following song explains the aspect of chapel services I miss the most:

This is an old Welsh lullaby I first heard in the Steven Spielberg film Empire Of The Sun:
