IN THE BEGINNING. Or, what happened to the old thread?
Not too long ago, there was a member of the Escapist who got tired of dealing with blam-tards on Xbox Live and decided to make a thread for Escapists to get together, party up, and go into the wild wastes of Xbox Live with other enlightened Escapists. This thread was the original Escapist Xbox 360 Clan. This clan prospered for a while, and mainly featured Escapists partying up and going into matchmaking or playing silly custom games. This was good, and everybody liked it.
Unfortunately, things happened and our glorious leader was crushed beneath the might Banhammer, which unfortunately also smacked into the thread, locking it in place and leaving it crippled forever. However, that is in the past and this is the present, and what's done is done and fun is fun, and we're all about fun. So I bring to you, The Escapist 360 Clan 2: Clan Harder.
Note to members of the original Escapist clan: Please follow the instructions in "How To Join". It'll make things easier for me.
Events: I plan for us to regularly have gaming evens and gaming nights; basically notice in advance that we're all going to try and set aside some time on a certain day/night and play a whole bunch of games for as long as we can. Likewise, we'll also try to setup who will be hosting what; I'll be hosting a game of Co-op Terrorist Hunt in Rainbow Six, will Bling Cat is being our Master of Ceremonies in Left 4 Dead.
Game & Achievement Help: If you want somebody to help you partner up and take on Gears 2 on insane, or get a specific achievement(s), feel free. We've got no problem helping you get past that level you're stuck on or those co-op only achievements. Maybe we need help there too, or we've done it before and have the power of experience on our hands.
The Lists: Now with 300% more metatags!
Here are the lists of who plays what, player names sorted alphabetically within games. Seeing as I'm the only one here, they'll solely contain me. For now, anyway. It's - .
Chat list is at the bottom, and game/achievement help will be below that, along with a marker on that players name in whatever game they need/want help in to signify that they're looking for assistance. Likewise, there will be notes for "I'm not interested in playing competively/only co-op". Eventually. When I come up with a system.
Metatags: Metatags are gamertags that everyone adds so they can go to it, select "view friendslist" and see everyone else who is online. This makes it far easier to get parties and games together. Please, check your games of choice and add that meta-tag. If there isn't a metatag, feel free to make one.
IRC:
We've not got our IRC channel, #ESCP360, on Chatspike, the same wonderful folks who handle the regular #escapist channel. To learn how to connect to the channel, just head on over to here [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/chat/]. That will teach the basics of IRC and get you into IRC and how to join channels.
Events:
Halo 3 Tournament:
We're currently planning a Halo 3 tournament. There are no details finalized, as of yet, so please drop in here or in #ESCP360 to voice your opinions. We'll take any and all opinions into consideration for gametypes, rulesets, and map choices, as well as time.
High Scores:
I'm going start a little "High Scores" table here. Basically, anyone or group of people can come and PM me their scores in Horde mode, Halo 3's meta-game, Nazi Zombies, or SR2's new meta-game, and we'll keep track of everyone's scores. For game modes with variable settings we'll keep track of not just who played and the score, but what map, what difficulty and what skulls and such they had on. Once I actually get some scores in I'll post them into the OP. Feel free to post any and all suggestions.
Ending:

The steps are pretty simple
There's a GT called "EscapistsKey" that a number of us have added, and used it to check who else was online and to whom we could spam invites to. Unfortunately, that number is one hundred, which is the friendlist limit. So unless you're one of the first one hundred clan members to join in the old thread, you don't have access to it. We're currently working on a work around for this. Until then, you'll just have to use this thread to organize games.
1. Post here with your gamertag and what games you play on XBL. Also include if you'd like to be included in the "Chat" list as well. Also, if you only want to play a certain mode, as in co-op or story, please say so. This way people won't invite you to play TD in COD5 if they know you only want to play Nazi Zombies.
2. Send a PM on the Escapist containing the same exact thing to me. This will help me avoid missing out on anyone's information.
3. Find somebody online and have some fun, because that's what we're all about.
Note: You must both post here and message me. Posting here is to let any of my lieutenants get your info and update the lists, and messaging me lets me know. We're just covering our bases here. Also, I'll be friending everyone after I've updated them into the lists. Didn't get a FR? Then you didn't PM me.
Secondary Note: If you don't PM me your information, you won't be added to the lists.

How to kill make a metatag:
1. Go to gmail.com or another free email site and make an account
2. Go to xbox.com and make an gamertag that references both the game and the Escapist. A good example would be Left4Dead's metatag which is "Left 4 Escapist".
3. Edit the bio to include instructions to message you on XBL or the escapist to be invited/accepted to the metatag.
4. PM the gamercard for the tag.
5. Play videogames.
6. Manage the meta-tag. If you don't want to manage the tag, PM me the email address used to make the tag and the password to login into xbox.com. I'll handle it until somebody comes along who will.
Note: There is a COD4 metatag, however, I won't add it into the lists until I get it's info from the person who created it.

We're currently planning a Halo 3 tournament. There are no details finalized, as of yet, so please drop in here or in #ESCP360 to voice your opinions. We'll take any and all opinions into consideration for gametypes, rulesets, and map choices, as well as time.
High Scores:
I'm going start a little "High Scores" table here. Basically, anyone or group of people can come and PM me their scores in Horde mode, Halo 3's meta-game, Nazi Zombies, or SR2's new meta-game, and we'll keep track of everyone's scores. For game modes with variable settings we'll keep track of not just who played and the score, but what map, what difficulty and what skulls and such they had on. Once I actually get some scores in I'll post them into the OP. Feel free to post any and all suggestions.
Ending:
