Heartbroken after his recent break-up, Steve encounters a mysterious figure standing on his doorstep, who lures him with a mystical item, which Steve immediately refuses. Can Steve's non-interest stand up to his destiny?

not bad at all. It's got room for improvement, the scene transition between the 'get your hand off me' and the black eye was a little off putting.
But still I enjoyed it for the most part and think the more you make of them the better they'll get.

Also was the archaeologist really playing chess? Because that looked like a terrible move at the end.

The foggy bit in the beginning works really well. Looks like one of those scary movies from the 30's. Keep up the good work.

Yes, I worked on that fog a lot. I was afraid it would look cheesy if done wrong, especially since some of the shots are free-hand (not on a tri-pod).
