EDIT: All right, because this author found it fit to seek out my other comments and call out my own video in OTHER contestant's topics (AND MORE THAN ONCE), I will clarify what I meant. I thought it more charitable to be brief, an error I won't repeat.
This appears to be a music video of royalty-free music cut to footage of planes with a filter over it (possibly from iMovie). This is not gaming humor, regular humor, gaming drama, regular drama, or anything that really embodies what I think The Escapist was looking for in this contest.
My question: how would this be a series on the Escapist? This same video every week? Different vehicles? Different filters? Different music? What? Where is the longevity?
What it looks like to me (and because of the claim that it's a 'film festival winner') is a short film that was already made for something else and was submitted to this contest in the vain hopes it would inspire some attention for this film and those who produced it. If this is true, this is a truly desperate and cynical attempt at garnering even the most meager attention that your product can't inspire any other way because of the choking mediocrity it inspires.
Furthermore, one of the stipulations of the contest is that the content is all original and hasn't been released anywhere else before. If this is a 'film festival winner,' that means it's been released somewhere else, doesn't it? Wouldn't that disqualify this entry?
If this is wrong, please let me know where I have erred in my analysis, and if the explanation satisfied, I will sincerely apologize. But I really don't see where I could have erred.
