There are millions of forums out there, yet here you are. Why?

Honestly? I just wanted to fuck with Jim Sterling when he was still here. Now I spend some of my time over at his site, getting into stupid debates with him over silly nonsense.

But I like being able to comment on ZP videos too.

I honestly wonder how long it will be until an answer to this question will not include zero punctuation

Hopefully not anytime soon.

OT: Pretty much because this is the only site that doesn't piss me off or region lock me.

I've made friends here. Simple as.

Plus the layout isn't complete ass like other gaming website forums.

As far as I have seen-

NO ONE has a excellent forum layout when compared on here (clear colours and layout, avatar image is just right and I can find where to click on and clicking on the last comment name take me to their post and NOT their profile!)

Active Mods for the most part and they enforce the rule all the time.

Fun topic that get me to comment (well used to be compared to when I first signed up).

Interesting video to read, article to read and review to read/ watch.

The site isn't dedicated to one thing only like a game or tv series therefore the users are more talkative among varies things well kinda (I notice that most rpers stick to rp only, weird).

I like the people here and the moderation allows me to have a fairly serious conversation without it devolving into blunt insultfests.

Old friends and my RP are the only reasons I'm still here, honestly.

I like the content and the forums, and I keep coming back for more. Originally came here for ZP 7 years ago and then started to consume other content. I'm hocked on this place.

Judging from what I've seen of Jim's attitude, you're probably providing him with entertainment rather than irritation. He seems to derive pleasure from people who use their time in that manner.

OT: YAHTZEE, you...ordinary person.

Also, it's not a BAD place to be. In fact, I'm told alot of other places are worse. And the people I never liked get circulated out, so things are pretty okay by me.

The fact that if a argument over any topic breaks out between users it rarely dissolves into insults and if it does the mods are quick to lock it down.

I came for the Zero Punctuation but I honestly keep coming back for the forums which is weird really since this site generally has a greater population of people I disagree with to the point I actively avoid posting because I am really bad at being concise and usually screw up the tone of the message.

However, the news that pops up is interesting a good amount of the time. I also do like the fact I disagree with people here as well because it breeds more discussion plus I have seen points that have made me change my opinion.

Also, I've been lurking about here long enough to gain a small sense of investment. I am really bad at leaving something alone when that happens.

I'm used to The Escapist by now, I like the layout if not always the content. I rarely utilize the forums more than perhaps once or twice a week, if that, because normally all it does is piss me off.

Zero punctuation.

And it got my respect for respecting gamers.

Some other things are always a factor, like the forum layout and some other stuff.

Like most I came for the Yahtzee, and his funny reviews that are Zero Punctuation, stayed for that and Extra Punctuation, then started adding my own drivel to the forums and ended up making some friends. That's about all there is to it.

I was a little heart broken when Jim took off though, especially because his banter with Yahtzee in Uncivil war was fantastically entertaining.

I like the rules here.

Frankly, I wish that they'd go back to the rule setup a few years ago (really policing low content posts specifically) but other than that, the rules are why I stay. Sure, there are people who can slip through the cracks by being an ass without breaking the rules but if people would wise up and just stop responding to them, we wouldn't have any problems. Unfortunately since this is the internet, I don't see that happening but it can't be helped if people fall for the most basic of troll-traps...
