The Evil Within 2: New gameplay

I should reinstall the first game and finish it. I think I'm about 5 chapters in now. It plays very smoothly but the upgrade system is the most discouraging part. Survival horror games shouldn't really need rpg elements. They're too short which means everything has to be crammed in to get any decent use out of them all.

What is going on with IGN? They show within seconds the protagonist pulling a knife out a dead guy's head, along with all kinds of adult violence and horror but they still decide to censor any swearing with loud, obnoxious bleeping? Get your fucking priorities sorted, Ingles...that is unpleasant listening probably capable of inflicting more damage to those kiddos innocent ears than any unholy combination of impulsive descriptors.

^Yeah it's odd. Almost as odd as that Silent Hill-esque boss with a camera for a head. Can't say I've ever seen that before.

Awesome. I loved the first game. I even played through it twice which I rarely do. Really looking forward to this game. Looks even better than the first one.

It looks less shit than the first game, but I still spotted an awkward 'running away from multi-limbed enemy' sequence in one video. Who knows, maybe this time it won't be complete garbage. The third rate Silent Hill horror aesthetic is still laughable though.
