Porn in SD is fucking torture. What next? In 4:3 aspect ratio too?

Yeah its been a while but I think the title explains it. Plus I started a new job so...

Every felt a moment during your day where something happens and your first thought is, "meh" or "oh well"? The moment is meant to shock you and grab you but it just does nothing for you anymore.

A friend lied to you again.
A picture destroys nerd culture.
Another delay or strike happening.
Terrorist this, "my ideology is better than yours". that.
War where now?
Something somewhere on the internet has offended a small group of people and voices get louder for sometimes no reason.
Oh look, everyone is anger on a certain site.

Tired of seeing it, tired of hearing. Yeah, its not always good to feel fatigue but sometimes we just can't help it. Things just repeat themselves over and over and over and over again that it's just blah blah blah.

So, what are your fatigue moments and other moments where you just go, "so we are doing THIS again"?

The End.

Chiefly the one that gets to me the most lately: "I don't believe that being transgender is valid because of reasons, so I'm not going to respect your wishes for me to respect your identity." Yes because being a decent respectful human being with even the barest of good manners socially is going to kill you apparently.

Also: "That's not offensive to trans people" or "that's not transphobic" from people who aren't trans. Seriously how do you know what a trans person finds offensive, also why is it that we trans folk have to put up with people being totally insensitive to us so much of the time? Oh that's right because you refuse to empathize with something that we find distasteful, again because of reasons... Ugh...

The time of day just before it gets dark where it's not quite bright but not pitch black outside either always makes me tired. It's like I'm a dragon from Reign of Fire.

Things on the internet though? I guess right now anything involving gender. It's an important issue but it would be nice to see a day where the Escapist forums only talk random shit in game or who their favorite Futurama character is.

My boss failing to stick to his schedule. He's a nice person, but he's also extremely unreliable. Whenever I make plans with him, such as group lunches, dinner with my folks, or more work-related stuff, he forgets or accidentally schedules something over it. At least he's predictable.

Its funny, I was going to say the endless race to the bottom of "I'm so offended!" culture. It just seems like it'd be soooo exhausting to always be arguing online. I mean this week we've seen Black Widow is a monster, Joss leaving Twitter, an action figure with boobs, girl Thor, and more than a very Transgender threads.

I mean I stay out of 50% of those hot-button issues and I'm still exhausted. I simply can't imagine getting worked up so often.

P.S. I'm not trying to be a dick towards you Kyuubi, just pointing out there seems to be a lot of button pushing(triggering?) going on on the forums these days.

Oh I understand totally. At least half of it seems to come from people being unwilling to budge from some very strict standards and an unwillingness to use any basic respect for others. I'm get honestly a bit burnt out every time someone says my identity or opinions are invalid, because they disagree.

Simply put if something offends me that doesn't mean I need to be given special credence, or even be agreed with. But the constant attempts at invalidating someones point when someone disagrees with it. That is so tiring. Especially because it seems to be bleed over from twitter and tumblr style "SJW vs anti-SJW", "feminist vs anti-feminist/MRA", "GG vs anti-GG", and so on.

Yet another person I'm listening to goes "So Gamergate hates women and is racist" (I just heard that on Kicked in the Dicebags) and I just felt tired. Yet another person who hasn't bothered to put in the basic reading and just goes off the most basic misunderstanding. I don't get angry at them, I'm just tired of listening to people who don't understand rant about something we don't do.

Metal Gear Solid is sexist or racist or whatever, and Kojima is a hack or whatever. Again, I used to write essays over this to explain the difference in media between the West and Japan, as well as Kojima's suprisingly well hidden talent as a writer (Seriously, look up the context speech from MGS2 and apply it to the Gamergate situation; he called it over a decade ago). I just stopped caring.

The phrase "Ugh". I hate that phrase. It is always used from a position of derision. It's the equivalent of rolling your eyes, it's passive aggressive and kinda pathetic to use, as well as very disrespectful.

All of my liberal friends declaring that the perfectly democratic Tory win in the U.K. allows for them to write what would be hate speech against the Conservatives, permits riots, permits them to tell everyone who doesn't agree how horrible they are, them being unwilling to even try and have a discussion, it's always "Only I am right and those I disagree with are wrong". It's annoying because I am a centrist, but I have noticed the right-wingers are at least willing to talk. Thew new progressive left wingers stoop to getting people fired, ruining lives, censoring speech, changing agendas, punishing people for not toeing the line and so on. These are the so-called Liberals, which stands for... you know, liberty. Freedom. I am sick of the whole offence culture. They have pushed me further right wing than any right wing speaker.

People who are late. If we arrange a time, you had better bloody arrive by that time. If you need to finish a project, then I need you to have done that project by that time. Traffic? I had traffic as well, I'm always 10 minutes early. It's utterly disrespectful and selfish to be late; I also had to deal with crap and I made it on time, I gave up sleep or fun time to finish work, you can too.

Feminist extremists. Yeah, I'm a feminist myself, but just like Catholics can be peeved by priests molesting kids, I can be irritated by bloggers claiming that I'm "supporting" rape culture by having an opinion about how a woman is dressed.

The political posturing and endless naysaying of nearly every single government official America has ever elected has begun to tire me. Don't get me wrong, the fact that I live in a place run by idiots, assholes, racists, fools, alarmists, greedy rich people, warmongers, opportunists, sociopaths, the mind-numbingly stupid, bastards, dicks, bitches, religious zealots, the hate filled, the cartoonish, the shallow, the judgmental, the close minded, the self-absorbed, the jealous, the hypocrites, the homophobes, and the self-righteous totally partisan MOTHERFUCKING HORRIBLE PEOPLE-

Does make me angry. But sometimes, I hear of the latest example of shortsighted stupidity or outright evil and I think, 'Why not. What more can we even do to ourselves?' It gets old. I'm getting old.

Pretty much everything nowadays.

My reaction is usually "So it's gun'be one of these days?".

It may be because my days are fairly repetitive though. I'm sure if new things happen I'll start getting some shock back into my life. That may not be a good thing...

For me it's been politics.

Being Australian I was recently subjected to the new Budget (which to me looks like things being dressed up and moved around but hey, I'm no expert) and I didn't even feel outrage. I feel like I try and keep up to date with our politics out of some sort of obligation. It feels like I'll be watching some guy on TV in a blue tie talking about his policies, then he'll put on a red tie and talk shit about himself.
Occasionally he might put on a yellow tie and mumble that his party is falling apart.
We have compulsory voting but it feels pointless when all the parties are just different coloured doors that lead to the same place. But then I've never had love for any particular party.
Then there's everyone blaming everyone else for the failures of things.
Politics has more or less gotten to the point for me where they can just do what they want. Because the Independants can either never do anything or are just the same as the big two.

The sad part is that the US is basically in the same position for the most part. Too much corruption, special interest, and lobbying ruling politics. Also compulsory voting is what they do in basically dictatorships that claim they're democratic, and the ruling party always wins there with 99.9% of the vote. So I'll never trust the idea of compulsory voting. Voting is a right not an obligation.

When I'm listening to satellite radio and a band I really, really don't enjoy shows up. I hate listening to good stuff like Alter Bridge only to have it be followed with awful shit like Theory of a Deadman or something.

So then I switch to the grunge/90s alt rock channel. Hole. Goddamnit. Classic rock channel? Why is nu-metal being played?

And so on. Love-hate relationship until I get fed up and just listen to the music I have on my phone.

Every time Firefox freezes on me as I browse heavily through e621... That goes double if I was going through a very enticing image pool...

Other than that, each of my friends have that one thing (forgetting to keep up with the latest episode of their favorite show; repeating something that thought they didn't tell me before; etc.) that they would either act on and/or remind me about to the point that they are fatigued that I remind them back on the one thing they did act and/or remind me of what they acted and/or reminded me about...

First people started getting constantly offended.
As much as I am a liberal individual I hate this perpetual twitter outrage and call out culture. Now there's nothing wrong with calling someone out in and of itself but currently a more fitting name would be "dogpile on somebody until they're broken" culture. Which just sabotages any actual effort towards progress.
And then people started getting constantly offended about people getting constantly offended.
And I honestly can't bring myself to care anymore.

Ahhh, but it's their OPINION. Obviously, that makes it holy and untouchable! It doesn't matter if they support it with any actual facts or research, you should just shut up and suck it up because it's their OPINION.

"Blah blah politics blah blah."

No. Just stop talking. Your discussion is moot. All your points are moot. Your opinion is moot. Let me tell you what's going to happen: The rich and powerful are going to do whatever they want and stick the rest of us with the tab. That is the way it has always been. That is the way it will always be. Being allowed to vocalize dissenting opinions does not in any way indicate that you can change anything. Until you have heaps of money, you aren't changing shit. If you do have heaps of money, chances are you got it from a corporate interest who now dictates your policy, in which case you are now part of the problem.

"Check out that hot girl!"

I hear this all the time at work from our resident horn-dog. First of all, she's like a 7 at best, which means you're misusing the term hot. Second, don't bother me for less than a 9. Finally, in the words of M Doughty, "I've seen a half a zillion girls and haven't spoken to a single one of them." None of us are going to get with her or even say hello. Not today, not ever. Why obsess over something you can't have? Yes, I *do* experience lust and longing. I just do the sensible thing and stomp on that shit as hard as I can. Staring at her won't help.

Their opinion is fine by me, until they make it my problem, that's moving deliberately into jerk territory, which sabotages actual effort towards progress.

Well that's certainly good for you. I personally can't stand it when somebody only supports their arguments with the appeal to nature/tradition fallacy or just a plain "it's stupid because I think it's stupid" - which just leads to unnecessary aggravation.

Oh yeah it pisses me off to no end, but I can let it go if they can at least be civil and not make their bias an issue for trans people.

"Oh it's nice to have some time for a Hearthstone session, let's queue up and see what we get on ladder!"

"Let the hunt begin!"

Oh fuck off. Fucking Face Hunter again? This is 5 times in a row! I mean i'm playing Priest so I have a chance if I sneak a turn 1 Twilight Whelp into turn 2 Velen's Chosen on it and just deny him anything on the board all game long, also he's going full "I must attack that Hero with Taunt" so he'll let a Dragonkin Sorcerer live to get stacking because they're all so fucking predictable. If I hit late game i'm laughing because my deck has so much late game in it. What's he got, Dr Balanced at most right? How about Ysera, Neferian, Malygos, Alextraza and Deathwing. Nice board, be a shame if someone was power incarnate right?

And obligatory latest controversy post. I stopped giving a fuck about any of that the second Anita whateverthefuck started making it big ages ago. I don't even know what Gamergate is and I have no intention of finding it out.
