I hate fighting games. Why? too much time needed to invest in order to get good. I do not understand the appeal of them. Unless you A: have friends or B: have an amazing internet connection I don't see why anyone would play it.

So, what genre in gaming do you just not care for?

I've never really cared for MMORPGs but I did get into SW:TOR just because it's a Star Wars game and it's free. I haven't played it in a while though. I also don't really like RPGs that look and play like Diablo, I haven't really tried them but usually the whole fantasy thing like that doesn't really interest me which is why I was a bit surprised I ended up enjoying Skyrim as much as I did.

I absolutely agree with Fighter games. As someone that loves story, these games are such a joke when it comes to characters and meaningful storylines. The characters are also caricatures for the most poorly designed and written characters in all of gaming - male and female characters are always brought up for sexist and over-the-top representations. It's fun when you're having a laugh with friends - for the first few hours. I can't really see any replayability in them either.

Also, Sports games. If I play games for escapism, why would I want to play something I could do in real life?

Fighting games, sport games and racing games.

I find fighting games to be rather dull and boring, if I wanted to do sport I'd go out and play it and I have no real interest in cars or vehicles of any kind.

Heh, no other genre compares to my love for fighters and RPGs. But if I were to single out a genre, the genre I'm least interested in is the racing genre. And being more specific, I am least interested in simulation-type racing games. They simply don't strike me as fun or entertaining.

Racing and sports games. I play very few of those. Out of all racing games I only played NFS games with car customization and the only sports game I can tolerate are 2k NBA games.

FPS games. I've just never been interested in them. I can play Third Person Shooters, but there's something about FPS's I don't like.

Also Fifa. I hate goddamned Fifa.

Simulations. They just bore the ever living shit out of me.

Racing games. Because i'm crap at them.

Sports games. I like playing certain sports physically but I can't stand video game sports.

Sports games, esp. football games. Maybe it's just because I'm not that into football, but I just can't get into that sort thing. I suppose for those folks out there that do support a team, there's that attraction of being able to "play as" your team and get them to top of the league or whatever but it doesn't do anything for me.

Sports/Racing games besides Mario Kart or Burnout style games. Suck at them, and just find them boring for some reason.

RTS and Racing games.

RTS because, well...you're basically doing the same thing every round you play, with small differences to your exact build order. Single player can be fun, but even that is mostly the same.

Racing games, the only one I ever really got into was need for speed underground 1. Before and after that, it just isn't fun to me to race around on a game track. That being said, maybe it's because I own a motorcycle and if I want to 'race around' I can do that in real life already. Which is a lot more fun than a racing game, imo.

I just can't get into anything RTS or grand strategy (4X for example). I've tried both here and there over the years and I just don't like either genre.

Anything racing or any type of simulation game. Truck Driver simulator? can't pay me to play it.

I'd go as far as saying I loathe fighting games. A genre of games that are purely about violence and particularly shallow game play. Seriously, guys? Why do these still exist?

Although I don't hate them, I don't really get on with racers. I start out thinking "wow, this is fun" but really quickly get bored of them.

I don't actually hate first person shooters either, I actually like some games like Deus Ex and Bulletstorm. I think its the modern military shooter genre which I find pretty boring after a couple of levels.

I'm not sure why but I really don't like mmo's. I could never understand the appeal of The Sims either.
