Numerous bugs in borderlands. With the biggest one beeing on General Knoxx. If you don't leave the armory within the given time... you will never be able to complete the dlc =(

A glitch in the rooftop level of No Mercy in L4D. If done perfectly well then the zombies wouldn't come after you, although most never did it well enough. But there would always at least be one twat that tried to use it, which basically turned L4D into L3D + A Noob Cheater Screaming In Your Ear.

How about every single multiplayer glitch in COD:MW2. I love the game to death but that was a rough few months there.

When your character is completely evil in Fable 1 & 2 the townspeople tend to react very poorly. For some reason instead of running and screaming at the sight of you they will stop every few feet to start over like they started on the wrong foot and can't manage to sound scared enough.

I would have to vote for a glitch in Fallout 3, as well.

*Spoiler Alert*

At the finale of the original, right before Broken Steel starts, when you have to start the purifier in the memorial.

I had just led the assault and cleared a way to the rotunda door. When I stepped through, I was immediately confronted by Col. Autumn. We had out witty banter, and I let him live. He ducks through the other door, I smile to myself, and wait for Lyons to start her bit about what we have to do next.

Only, it never begins.

I turn and realize, she's nowhere to be found. She didn't come into the room with me. the door is locked behind me, barring access to where she might be. The door that Col. Autumn exited out is locked as well, making sure I find to egress out that way. And, of course, the door to the purifier is locked, keeping me from making an ultimate sacrifice so that I can end the sequence.

basically, I'm locked in a room with no way out. Not even console commands can help me in my personal hell. I go to reload my previous save, to find that it has been somehow corrupted. Lyons is nowhere to be found. I literally had to restart from a save made hours previous.

Now, I with my overactive imagination, pictured the events somewhat as thus...

*Lyons is standing out front of the freshly liberated purifier with what remains of Lyons Pride*

Lyons: Well, it's been ten minutes since he went in. No sign of him yet, but all sounds of fighting have stopped. Col. Autumns vertibird took off five minutes ago, even.

Pride member: Maybe he needs help?

Lyons: Nonsense! He single-handedly took down President Eden and disarmed the nuke at Megaton. He's practically a demigod. A true Wasteland Savior. Who are we to try and help one like that?

Member: Well, why isn't he back yet?

Lyons: He must be working the purifier already! *stares wide eyed at the nearby water*

Member: Wait? What? There's no sign that anything has happened yet.

Lyons: Are you a scientist? Do you know what to look for? *rushes to the water's edge, lay facedown, and begins taking greedy gulps*

Member: Ma'am! That could be dangerous! That water could still be highly irradiated!

Lyons: *looks up, hair starting to fall out and smiles. A tooth falls from her grin* The tingling means it's working!

*Lyon's dies*

Member: Oh, for god's sakes. *takes holotags from her corpse and kicks her body into the water* We'll tell Elder Lyon's she was killed in battle. Let's go, Lyon's Pride.

*they all turn and begin marching back to the Citadell, leaving me forever entombed in the purifier room, inches away from the button that would remake the Wasteland into a new garden of Eden.*

I'm gonna go with the one that sets the Deathclaw Scrambler beeper off - forever.

That one is very annoying. After that awful fight with Kaileena, that was my reward.

Halo Reach's "If they came to hear me beg" achievement. Ugh, I cut out the sprint every time, and hit it 5 times perfectly, but it still took over an hour to get it. I saw every glitchy outcome possible in that hour, everything from landing on grunts and living, to landing on the ground without hitting anything and NOT dying. Weird, since it is about a 20 storey drop off that cliff.

Top of the pile at the moment is the F1 2010 pit stop bug. I hate having to try and base my strategy around when others aren't going to be in the pits.

Wittyinfidel: I enjoyed your scenario.

I was playing and old game called Hexen with my cousin and we were in a cavern and he falls into a pit but survived, well I try to get out of there, and I fall into a pit and survive.
If it wasn't for me knowing the code to go through walls, we would wave lost a TON of data.

Recently got hit by one in Neverwinter Nights 2: right at the end the big bad guy (Garius) summons an avatar of the King of Shadows. You must kill this to progress the story. I was totally ok with this, but obviously the avatar was not, because the prick never appeared. I poured hundreds of spells into Garius who is attacking you but immortal, and had no idea what to do. Finally checked online and found out it was a bug. Thankfully that game has an awesome console so I could just spawn to the victory scene after the fight.

More regularly though, any glitch which causes you to get stuck behind a rock or in the scenery leading to reloading an older game. It's just fucking annoying, as it always happens the ONE time you last saved ages ago.

I got that in about 10 minutes due to pure luck. And it was damn cool.

This brings me on to the most annoying glitch, where... your teammates' brains fall out in Reach, and you are forced to do horrid things to them to wake them up out of their coma.
