Despite the fact that E3 had a lot of poor looking crap this year, what (if anything) did people see that was good?

For me I was glad to learn that The Force Unleashed was also going to be on the PS2. Since I still have yet to buy the PS3. And I loved the in game footage for Mirror's Edge.

Anyone Else?

Fable II
Force Unleashed
Mirror's Edge
Dead Space
Mercenaries 2
F.E.A.R. sequel that I can't recall the name to
+More I can't be bothered to remember right now.

There was plenty of good stuff announced at E3.

"Mirror's Edge" looks awesome, as it has since it's debut (SP?). The "God of War III" teaser at least lets us know that Sony has made some headway in making that game. The (believe it or not) Wii Motion Plus is a good sign of things to come, because if it is completely realisitic movement (finally), then maybe we can get games that use it. Really, it's just a sign of future technologies that might not even necesarily be by Nintendo.

Anyway, moving on, I personally like how the new "POP" looks. I'm still holding out for a payable Demo for mass consumption before I even start to have anything more then a "It looks nice" opinion. On a side note, the "POP" game for the DS looks like a stylized version of the old ones, so it might be good. "Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia" looks to be pretty good, but I've been losing interest in this franchise for a while, so lets see what happens.

I am also, surprisingly, looking forward to seeing the new Sonic RPG. The only reason I'm even giving it a chance is A) It's Bioware, so we know it's in capable hands, and B) "Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars," is my favorite Mario game ever, so lets see if Sonic can be even half as good (RPG style).

More as well, but whatever.

Left 4 Dead looks great, I've always wanted to live out a true zombie outbreak with 3 friends. Plus I love the idea of a forest as a setting for zombie blasting. Dawn of War 2 and Borderlands looked awesome as well (these two games sadly were not covered by G4 for some insane reason).

In order of what I am most excited for:

Fallout 3
Left 4 Dead
Gears of War 2
Dead Space
Resident Evil 5
Mirrors Edge
God of War 3
Force Unleashed
LittleBigPlanet
Fable 2 (cautiously optimistic)
Spore

And....

Wii music....just kidding, I'd never be excited for a game that looks that stupid.

On a side note: What is up with EA lately? They're actually producing games that look fun and interesting and not just.....football. I'm EXTREMELY excited for Dead Space and Mirrors Edge, and Spore looks like it will end up being rather fun as well.

i completely agree with basically all of this, but i have a question. while i was watching G4's coverage of E3, people kept on saying about how they loved the new prince of persia art style, but all i saw was the same art style with next-gen graphics.
my question is: how is the new PoP's art style any different from the last batch?

edit: i forget the name of the game, but the wii title that lets you make a monster, battle other monsters, and customize the creature looks pretty cool. also the game where you're a spider and a scorpion.

I don't know what you were watching (no rudeness intended), but the new game is Cell-Shaded. However, instead of just Cell-Shading (or Toon-Shading) it, they shaded it in a specific way, which ended up making the game look like a moving painting. They call it "illistrative style." The original was more aimed towards realism, while this is more fantasy (they distilled the SoT trilogy into two basic ideas. Real and fantasy for this generation. The real became Assassin's Creed, the Fantasy became the new POP, and they gave each game graphics to match).

hmm...now i know i'm blind. but whatever.
i actually have mustered up a complaint about pop: those spirally things on the walls, where if you reach them they throw you across the map. what i liked in the whole sands of time trilogy was how all the traps fit together, and the amazing teleportation tile just seem like the designers got lazy.

The POP caught my eye. I saw the demos that Ubisoft released on E3 and the game looks awesome.

Other than that, I like the way BiA is coming along. I'll definitely await its release in September, and hope to get it soon.

Um, I think you forgot to mention Gears of War 2. GOD! Pay attention man!

As for me, I liked seeing the Project Origin, Dead Space, RE5 and Left 4 Dead stuff.... hmmm... it seems I have a horror fetish.

And since Kenny forgot to mention it, Gears of War 2 did look pretty sweet.

Mirror's Edge was by far the coolest looking title.
I've been looking forward to a 'real' First Person game for ages. Now I just hope there won't be any cutscenes in there.

Left For Dead (I refuse to use the 4) looks pretty good too.
