...on normal difficulty?
I picked up Crysis during the recent steam sale. I was pleasantly surprised to discover my mid-specs pc can run it on high settings (how technology marches on, eh) and suitably impressed by the visuals. It really is a great looking game.
I've been surprised at how hard it is though. You'd think that a rapidly recharging temp invisibility power would be like god mode, but the NKA are shooting me to bits on a regular basis, and I dread to think of how rough it's going to get when the aliens show up. Don't get me wrong... I quite like the fact that the game will cheerfully throw 10 man patrols at me, but I'm seeing that on-screen message quite often. You know, the one that oh so subtly reminds you that you can lower the difficulty level.
So what's the hardest single player FPS you've played, why was it so hard, and did you enjoy the extra challenge?
