go for the touch, it's got more features and the app store, the zune has none of these and their store is full of drm and crappiness

While I normally favor the Zune, I'd have to say either get the touch, or wait for the zune HD to get settled past the launch stage.

I saw a video that I just saw yesterday that asks the same question.

Get a touch. I've learned the hard way several times that it's never good to be an early adopter. The previous Zune has a zillion bugs in it's software and I'm willing to bet this one will have a few big ones too. It's best to wait a bit or just go with the touch (which is much more stable now than when I got it).

Go for the Touch, I love mine. It's great as a music player (although a little on the small side) but it works extremely well as a PDA, at least for what I need it for, and the Apps are awesome

Neither. They both are tied to proprietary software, have nearly no storage, a pitiful amount of format support, and atrocious sound quality.
Atrocious sound quality? Are you sure it's not your headphones?

OT: I love my Touch, I wouldn't trade it for any other media player.

Edit: Or the MP3's/other audio media you are using?

I would go for the Zune HD, just because I have never had any problems with my Zune. Also, most of my friend's Ipods have been breaking.

the only player that has more storage than a touch is the ipod classic

and as for sound quality, i don't think you know what you are talking about at all

I have noticed the low quality on ipods too. Don't know about zunes, but whenever I listen to stuff on my friend's ipod, which has connected to a pretty high quality headset and the music is loseless(at least in it's original format), the quality is notifiable lower than on my PC with my headset on.

Then again, I am an audiophile so this probably won't bother a lot of people.

Its really easy to lie on the internet too.

OT: Wait so see the reviews.

EDIT: I have a 120G Zune, it was cheaper then the 120G iPod classic and it was packaged with a stereo speaker set up, which saved me $40+.

Haha, my headphones, that's a good one.

As for the "audio media"[small](It's called a format, brosef)[/small] I'm using, 80% percent of my music is in lossless, and the stuff that isn't is all either in 320 or v0. Of course to play my music on an ipod, I have to convert it to ALAC, because apple is too cool to follow previously set standards that work perfectly well, they have to make up their own.
I was just wondering, to the average persons ear the iPod earbuds it comes with may sound pretty good but for the trained ear you can hear a difference between them and more high-quality headsets/earbuds. As for the audio formats (thanks, by the way) I use whatever works and have never heard (I've heard of many, but have never actually physically listened to them) any other format besides MP3 or ACC format for apple.
