The dog that me and my family adopted when it came to our house has now died. It was a really good dog but she got hit by a car. My sadness and anger reminded me of the animal rights idiots that pisses me off so much.

Because I eat meat, I have been called quite a few things from murderer to hitler (thank you PETA)and slave holder. I find there is no logic whatsoever in their arguements and I found an article that explains it quite well. (I hope the link works)

http://www.pulpless.com/jneil/aniright.html

I don't personally care whether a person is vegan or not but don't tell me that my dinner is murder or as Penn Jillette said "Don't blow up the kitchen just because you don't like what's on my plate."

I've had a few vegan friends so i know not all vegans are psychopaths but I have an idea for everybody.

Be an omnivore as god and nature intended us to be.

Probably because I watched too many nature doctumentaries as a child, I would have to agree with you. That said, I've had this odd craving for human flesh as of late...

I've had this odd craving for human brains of late? Coincidence or zombifacation?

If people choose to become vegetarians for the sole purpose of having a healthier diet, more power to them. If they do it because of a misguided attempt to be a moral person, they're doing it wrong. PETA, the hypocrites, support murder, as long as you only murder things that are "different enough" from you.

I didn't make that clear enough?
"I don't approve of animal rights. I keep my animals locked in a shed, for they do not have the right to a decent life."

if you can't detect the sarcasm there then you literally have no hope

what I'm getting at is that you need to be more specific with what you're saying. otherwise, it could make you look silly. rights includes having a decent life, not just whether you eat meat or not

Coincidence, as I still prefer my food cooked in a lovely garlic, olive oil, and rosemary maranade.

You didn't read the article did you? Their is no thing such as animal rights just individual esthetics. So no I dont like beating an animal for fun to answer your question and you should feed your pets.

I think animals should only be used as food if they are treated with respect and a right to life before their death for food. This way we can still eat meat as (I believe nature intended) but we treat the animals in a "fairer" sort of way.

EDIT: that was worded horribly

Well, I believe that animals should be treated decently, as we humans are animals as well, and shouldn't be abused, but I think the legalese of defining "animal rights" allow the abuse of the law for the personal gain of lawyers.

As Shakespeare said: "Kill all the lawyers, kill them tonight."

ps: all for eating meat om nom nom nom

It was in white , I didn't see it either:p

I agree with you, and people called you slave holder for having a dog? Have they not heard the term , dog is a mans best friend or maybe they missed the millions of years of working alongside each other.

I have read the article and I disagree with it.

tbh it sounds like more shitty libertarian rantings, but I'm not going to debate this because I'm going to have some food and then do some shit.

It's not a ranting, it makes a lot of valid points

i think its all in moderation

i dont think anyone should beat an animal or even mistreat it
but i dont think that animals have the same rights as human beings

as an evolutionists this makes me quite a dick because im saying "i know im basically an animal but screw all the other animals" but in all honesty humans have worked hard to become a dominant species so why should we care about those lower down on the food chain

people who own or are guardians for animals should do so out of a love for animals

also people not eating meat is wierd, we are omnivores, we should eat everything, great quote there btw "Dont blow up my kitchen just because you dont like whats on my plate."

I wonder if Peta knows that Hitler was a vegetarian...

Vegetarianism has nothing to do with animal rights, as far as the act of eating meat is concerned.
Breeding animals for food in terrible conditions is horrible, however.

I think the animal right's stuff is rediculous, we're at the top of the food chain so we can eat what the fuck we want.

Plus, it's just nature. Animal's can't exactly think for themselves as well as humans, most just follow by instinct.

I've never understood why we shouldn't eat animals. Yes we're more intelligent than animals (except for the dolphins and those pesky mice) but our base needs are exactly the same.

I agree that animals should be treated well before they're killed, but why shouldn't we kill them for food? It's nature.
