Yeah, were all tired of hearing about this guy and how evil he is. Yeah, we know people are mad because the US finally decides to get involved after finding oil in Uganda. I'm not here to talk about that. I actually have a question for you about this.

How is the US army going to handle the Child Soldiers?
I don't mean how are they going to "fix" them or get them back to their families. Kony may be despicable, but he is not dumb; he will use the children he has abducted as his front line. The US might be getting into this fight for the wrong reasons, but they are not monsters and the average solider will hesitate to shoot a child (not to mention the kids are the victims the US is trying to save).
So what do you think? Will the US army be forced to shoot these kids?

It won't come to that, honestly the people who come up with these silly campaigns don't understand Politics or Military life. Yeah, saving the children is a good cause but is it really worth sending soldiers to fight and die for something that doesn't affect them? I bet if some of the people who want to help these kids were soldiers or talked to some they would change their tune very quickly, but to answer the question, no. The US army will not have to fight or kill any child soldiers because they won't be deployed. More likely then not the US military will just throw supplies and more advisors over there to help but not get involved directly.

Well, seeing that the US sent troops to Iraq for no reason, other than the oil and "nuclear weapons," I would say so... Even in Afghanistan, yeah they were chasing Bin Laden, but there was no need to invade with full force instead of using other means.

Remember, they seem to be doing this because of oil and the best way to get it is to be there.

I think they should just get it over with and kill him. Yes you will have to kill a some child soldiers but think of all the kids you would end up saving. Lets not forget that those children are willing to kill.

Very true Fieldy, but if I recall correctly the US policy is not to harm citizens. I'm just wondering how they would classify these kids. And sure, they are a threat, they will shoot you, but they are also being forced to do it.

Honestly, I think there is no way they don't kill any of these children, but will they be targeted and treated as normal soldiers?

Not quite the same as normal soldiers, they cant be as dangerous as adult soldiers. They surely cant keep those guns steady.

Edit: But I think at the same time if they are between them and Kony, they should do it.
