I'm not sure where it will fit in with the series, if at all, but I have faith that it will be a freakin' fantastic movie. But I've only seen trailers and previews, so hopes and dreams still have potential to be dashed.

Also, M. Night Shyamalan? What the hell? He doesn't seem like the type of director to make this movie the way it should be.

SONUVABITCH!! Why do I constantly expect more than this from directors, movie makers and humanity in general. I embrace the day our alien overlords destroy this world, with intelligence like ours resistance may just be futile.

Well, I'm not the biggest Avatar fan, but I'm quite dissapointed in the lack of asian actors cast for the film. I mean, here we had a perfect vehicle to promote some new and struggling asian actors, but Hollywood had to ruin it with it's love of white people.

I'm not saying it's gonna be bad, or that because of that they ruined the film, it's just kinda dissapointing.

I acually Enjoyed Avatar, But the Media industry has shown me, This will be a wopping failure, A gay tentical rape fest, Because Optimisum only disipoints.

To top it off, he cast a chinese boy as Aang, whereas any idiot can see that the air nomads are clearly based on tibetan monks. That's not as drastic a difference as a pasty white emo portraying a comedic relief inuit, but it's still astonishingly offensive when you consider what the chinese did to tibet. Given his tendancy to totally screw the pooch on casting so far, I'm half expecting the earth kingdom (chinese, fyi) to be black.

According to IMDB, there's a white kid playin Aang. Either way, I think he went a little (read: LOT) crazy with the casting. When did white people suddenly become Asian? At least India is part of Asia. F this movie.

It will be one movie per "book" and it will suck actingwise, I do have faith in his settings and looks of it though.
