My god, I wish, I WISH, they would make show just as good as they make trailers. I mean damn that's a nice trailer. But Book 2 trailer was also amazing and the whole second season turned out to be... disastrous. What do you think people?

WHO THE FUCK ARE THEY ANYWAY?! This is certainly an air bender tribe and they are certainly capable of bending! So who the fuck are they?! Was there a whole air bender tribe that fire nation simply missed or what?!

Like I said in the spoiler, I'm guessing they are just nonbenders who somehow acquire the airbending ability (I mean one of them look like he was from the Earth Kingdom). I guessing the whole spirit world being back in their world at the end of season 2 has something to do with it (don't ask me how, I leaving it to them to explain that) or I could be wrong on my prediction.

Do you really want to know? Because I can tell you. The first five or six episodes got leaked a bit ago, and while they were quickly taken down, it does kind of explain where these new Airbenders come from. I read detailed episode summaries for all the episodes, and I think it's safe to say that this season will live up to expectations. We get more lore, more character development of secondary characters, and basically it sounds like the writers were prepared this time around for a new season.

Of course, I liked Season 2, so I could be wrong, but I really do think this season is shaping up great.

I'm looking forward to it. Most people like to piss on season 2, but it wasn't that bad. The first half was confusing, but the quality came back mid-season with beginnings. Plus, they established that the love triangle is over?unless they pull a "How I met your Mother finale" scenario?

Apparently benders can live a very long time. Aang died of complications from being frozen in the iceberg, although Katara is still alive, and in the first series, king Bumi who is Aang's childhood friend is still alive, so I'm not surprised Zuko is also still alive.

What about Toph? This trailer needs Toph.

I agree season two wasn't that good, but I really liked the exploration of the spirit world lore and the origin of the avatar. Hopefully they use the same kind of mystery they used in season 1 to grab us. Only time will tell, so we have to torture it to get its secrets

I like Korra but hate her developmental arcs. She to me is the least likable character in the series. That being said, the animation looks amazing! The visuals is something this series have yet to disappoint me with.

I've stayed far away from the leaks, so I'm going to guess the explanation for the new Airbenders is now that the barrier between the physical world and the spirit world is gone, the spirits are teaching non-benders that ability. I'm a little rusty on my Avatar lore, but I'm pretty sure that's a plausible explanation.

I don't know why people seem to dislike Book 2 so much. Of course it had its bad parts, but I found it a hell of a lot more enjoyable than 90% of Book 1. And I can't be the only one here who positively detested the pro-bending segments.

I'm pretty sure Toph is dead though. I can't remember if that was ever directly stated anywhere, but they've also never hinted that she was still alive, unlike Zuko. Either way, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Anyway, I really want to watch this now. Air the damn thing already, Nick. >_<

With the help of the Order of the White Lotus, Aang established safeguards so that his next incarnation would be protected from anyone who might do the young Avatar harm. At the age of 66, Avatar Aang passed away.

If there?s a new Avatar, that means Aang has passed on. If he died around age 70, isn?t that pretty young for an Avatar?

Konietzko: You gotta keep in mind that he was frozen in a state of suspended animation for 100 years, so he kind of burned up some of his extra Avatar time.

Eh, I'm not so sure about that. I know that Avatars live a very long time due to being the Avatar (with Aang dying young because, as you said, of being frozen for a hundred years), but there doesn't seem to be anything to suggest benders as a whole live longer. Sure, Zuko and Katara are still alive, but they're only like 80 years old at this point, and King Bumi seems more like an exceptional case than a standard.

I think the only characters who were explicitly stated to be dead are Aang and Sokka. Fate of everyone else is still a mystery.
