I know the whole "memorable moments" thing has been done to death, so I'm asking what small, almost insignificant moment in gaming do you look back upon and smile (warm fuzzies are optional)

Mine would have to be in WoW when I won 19 gold in my guild lotto, for my poor level 21 self this was a fortune and I spammed guild chat like never before, so I took my rich-ass down to the Orgrimmar auction house brought a shiny new Helmet and new shoulders and then of course poof it was all gone, but I still remember the satisfaction it brought me.

Aaah yes... I remember my first time playing Morrowind. I was walking around in the wilderness, and all of a sudden I heard the infamous cry of a cliff racer (frequent happening in this game, I'm sure you Morrowind players would know that). After killing the damn thing (a warm fuzzy feeling as well), I noticed the sky and how magnificently beautiful it was. I spent an entire 24 ingame hours, watching how the sky was changing according to the time of day. Gave me the fuzzies, allright.

And when stepping out of the sewers in Oblivion for the first time was also a memorable moment. Incredibly pretty environment.

The taget hit icon in Battlefield games.

It may be a tiny cross that appears momentarily around your crosshairs, but it's just so damn satisfying.

Double this when you're firing rockets/sniper rifle rounds/MG rounds at a target beyond visual range.

I've got another but it's not so much good feelings and warm fuzzies as me being an unsportsman like dick and being payed back for it, so any way: A few friends and I were playing COD4, we decided to have a knives-only round and for some reason or another I was destroying eveyone so while I was proclaiming my awesomeness at the top of my lungs I see one of them run up to me and give me a nice big Joker smile.

It may be off point but I felt like saying it.

I remember playing Morrowind and just walking around, chilling, when out of nowhere a guy just falls out of the fucking sky and drops dead right in front of me. I just paused for a second then took his stuff and ran off XD

Lol that made me laugh, I can't quite remember a specific one but I've had heaps of those times when your like "Huh?.." for a few seconds then you Plan C the hell out of there.

that point in system shock 2 where I thought I had everything figured out, then the walls fell away and.... well.

Also I was reading several history/fiction books about Alexander the Great, Xenophon and a couple of other war books when I got into Rome: total war. Not really a moment in it but following ancient tactics I'd randomly been reading about and putting them into action was really really satisfying.

That's the annoying robot thing right? I've heard everyone go on about it but I watched a video of the things it says and it pissed me off to no end(almost as much as the video link from the "boxxy" thread...*cringe*)

Wow, I never thought I'd meet someone who didn't like Glados, and yeah, she's the robot, although, it doesn't sound like you've actually played the game so I'm kind of inclined to disregard your opinion >_<

I personally loved her lines and especially her song in the credits ([a href=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ljFaKRTrI]Link[/a])
Yeah I haven't played so my opinion doesn't matter I guess.

Admittently the song is kind of cute but I still hold the majority of my opinion, Do I lack a soul?

Edit: suprisingly enough I love most annoying robots, Gir FTW!

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princes, when I would go into water and whatever part of me went in, would come out looking like it had actually gone through water. I dunno why but i thought it was really cool.

Poor guy. Never played Portal.
Anyways, the end song is contextual, so you need to play it through to get the inside jokes. It also helps if you've played the Half-Life games.

My memorable moment is the twist about 2/3 of the way through Star Wars: KotOR. Seriously great stuff there.

1. In Populous: The Beginning - if you cast a blast spell on an enemy, they scream in a very distinctive, high-pitched voice and go sailing through the air.

2. In Portal - a few of Glados' lines managed to get a snicker out of me.

3. In Fallout 3 - "Tunnel Snakes RULE!"

Playing CoD4 on a local LAN and we had about 5 on each team, and while playing on Bog, I fired my RPG-7 from the bus - over to the walls on the other side of the map, killing the -entire- opposing team! XD

I shit you not!

Beating any level in Godhand gives an incredible sense of satisfaction, but particularly a level later in the game where it's just a series of small fights, highlighted by 2 Amazons, and Tiger Joe's first appearance.
