[HEADING=1]The Lucky Ones[/HEADING]
An Rp With idea
Pretty basic, just:
1. Try and write with impeccable spelling and Grammar.
2. No one line posts, posts must be at least three lines long.
3. Do not use your powers to ridiculous degrees, just because you can control earth doesn't mean you can tear the land into two different islands or lift a landmass into the sky.
4. GMs word is law, whatever I or Voukras say must be obeyed.
5. The Dice Mechanic explained below is a must, not using it will result in denied access.
6. No God modding. The only exception is if you're lucky enough to get a ridiculously powerful power in the superpower lottery, even then try and keep it down.
7. It's kind of common sense, but OOC chattter should be put in spoilers labeled as such.

Hello there folks, In this RP I will be using a new mechanic that will hopefully force you to play roles you aren't used to playing. You will be using a dice chart (In the spoiler below) to give you a basic template of your characters, which you will then flesh out further and give more character to the roles you are given by fate. Some parts of the chart are optional, which are distinguished by being labeled as such in brackets beside the aspect.

You probably noticed, and by probably I mean definitely, the super power chart at the end of the list itself, which I will now explain. Since this RP is the test for the dice chart idea, I have decided to make a super hero RP. However, I have made a slight twist to this. The setting is a fantasy setting, much like Medieval Europe, with a system of "If you have the power to take something do so". The origin of the powers is unknown, and therefore considered to be witchcraft, wizardry, divine gifts or all of the above. As such, the people who have been gifted with them, known as "Scions", are a mixture of hated, feared and worshipped by the populace.

For those of you who do not themselves posses a set of advanced Dice, Follow this link:

Voukras will be Co-Gming and assisting me with nitpicking and figuring out if any of you have disregarded the idea this RP centers around and just made a character from scratch. Remember, this RP is about trying you out in roles you're not used to.
The world this RP takes place in is split into three continents.
The Tharblae Marshes, a deadly land filled with inhospitable landscapes, large, hardy and vicious creatures and a rather abrasive and aggressive tribe of humans, named "The Tharblae Dynasty", hence the continents name. It is rare that anyone who ventures into their lands without something any intent to pay them tribute or join their clan ventures out alive, and the latter option doesn't hold much hope for survival either. There military is relatively weak, due to poor technological skills, and therefore insufficiently advanced weapons, and a lack of organization or tactics, they are however the most numerous faction, in population and military, due to all men being trained from birth to be hardy soldiers, due to the violent nature of their homelands.
The second Continent is home to the kingdom of the Reaak Line, a family of entitled and greedy nobles who rule over the continent with an Iron fist, taking much of the working mans wages and making him live in squalor while they live in decadent and glorious palaces. Their military is the strongest in the world, but is mainly focused on protecting the castles and palaces and the nobles that lie within. The peasants are on the verge of rebellion, hoping for revolution rather than bloody deaths that lie in wait for them unless they are lead forward. The Royals are also preparing to the invade Iyuo moutains for the precious minerals and knowledge kept within.
Last but by no means least, the lands of the Iyuo Order, a group of peaceful monks who worship the descendants of their god, the all powerful Loae, who, their teachings tell, left the world many epochs ago to live in splendor, in a second world he created for his most faithful, improving on the mistakes of his old world, but not before leaving his mark on five families, all gifted with abilities that would remain dormant until triggered by a significant event in the world. Their lands are peaceful, and most citizens live in grand monasteries, spending out their days eating and drinking only what they need, and waiting for the descendants to come. They have no military, being a very peaceful continent, and the only thing stopping them from conquest are their good nature and the mountains they live within.
In the case of politics within continents, it's gone the way of the dodo, considering the Tharblae value you power over much else, their leader is the strongest member of their tribe, taking the throne by force. The Reaak Kingdoms are a monarchy, and as such only families of the ruling bloodline are allowed to lead and command over the nation. The Iyuo have no real leader to speak of, having no arguments in their lands due to the docility of the people and them not wanting to interact with the other lands. The closest thing they have to one is their Grand Abbot, but even he does not command much power over the populace. In the case of international politics, the Tharblae and the Reaak have been in a heated war for decades, fighting for dominance over a land between them which contains valuable metals. The Tharblae are at peace with the Iyuo, due to the Iyuo doing nothing to offend them and the Tharblae not wanting more land. The Reaak however, despise the Iyuo, due to the peace they hold and the religion they worship. It does not help that their home mountains are host to precious materials and gems.
The Tharblae Dynasties follow a rather primal religion, worshiping the natural elements, such as earth, water, darkness, light, air and fire as primal gods, having rituals to each one, some of which are wildly self destructive, such as burning down part of the villages and towns for the Fire God's festival, and partially flooding it for the Water God's. Some, by contrast, are relatively harmless, such as put up extravagant light displays in the village for the Light God's festival and erasing all trace of it for the Dark God's festival. All the gods are regarded as moral equals, and their mythology contains massive amounts of incest to create the other gods, starting with the original two of Darkness and Light, as brother and sister/mating partners. The Reaak follow a religion closely resembling Christianity ,though there are multiple gods, split into two pantheons. The Abyssal ones, the evil side of the cosmic balance, who are despised and hated, representing the negative aspects of existence such as Death, War and darkness, and a Heavenly one, regarding the positive aspects, such as Pleasure, Food and Light. Their rituals are much more subdued than those of the Tharblae consisting of going into a temple on a set date and having a special ceremony associated with the god in question. The Iyuo worship only one god, Loae, who is believed to be completely absent from this world, waiting in another. As such, the closest things to rituals that the Iyuo order has is meditation, trying to achieve the spiritual travel needed to join their master in the improved world, and reading the scriptures supposedly written by the creator and his first disciples themselves.
The Tharblae technology is rather primitive, due to their culture mainly being centered around survival and strength, intelligent children are usually beaten and tortured until they become nothing but animals in mind, possessing only endless berserk rage for all around them, then locked in cages and released on a battle field in a particularly nasty act to the enemy. They use simple iron swords and clubs, and live in either hanging wood houses to avoid being sucked into the swamps of their homeland or mud huts that only last for a few months at best. The Reaak are significantly further in their technology, possessing steel weapons and primitive pistols and rifles, as well as lightweight armor made from materials found on the Tharblae border. They have advanced medical care and the beginnings of cars, a cart with a mechanism attached that is not entirely unlike a bike, though these are few and far between, and only really an advantage or luxury if you have a slave working the mechanism for you. The royalty live in large heated home, using steam generating below the house to let it slide up through a series of plates, keeping the house warm when they are tended. The Iyuo have a rather limited grasp on technology, considering they spend half their lives meditating. They have no advanced weapons, due to never needing any since they have never been attacked, they do however, have a rather firm grasp of general and life extending medicines and practices, some members are able to live for two centuries if they really try.
